We have to understand our past culture to better understand our present situation, we seem to be in bewilderment of our actions at times without a full understanding of ourselves and the ways of our ancestors ways that are ingrained into us. This book I'm quoting is full of information that opens a window into why things are the way they are in our communites today. Of course some of it is a bit much, but Credo Mutwa explains a lot and should be given credit for it.
The Shamans, Witchdoctors and Tribes people of Africa are Treasurers. Both of culture and knowledge and of ancient artifacts.

Credo says that they await an African Rennassance to reveal their knowledge but has written a series of books (mixed with fiction as a guise) to break the silence he was vowed to as a Zulu Priest. Man its like 700 pages but in his book, ''Indaba My Children'' he explains things almost unintentionally, for example (can't find the damn page will post up the full quote when I do) the Zulu tribes people reffer to themselves as ''Kaffirs'' in greeting one another. The word, ''Kaffir'' is an Arabic insult used in their persecution of Africans. The Zulus HATE the Arabs, they call them hyenas and hate it when they or anyone else calls them, ''Kaffirs'' but use it between themselves in exactly the same way the A.A's use the word N****r... when I say Arabs and persecution most think 500/600 years ago but their attacks on the continent date back thousands of years. The Zulu tribe (Bantu) is formed from many tribes after a mass exodus from the north during those attacks.
He also explains why they use the word as well, along the same lines of the enslaved who would wear their chains in pride, parading about in face masks as though its a new fasion, being punished but wearing their scars with pride as an act of defiance and so on.
Anyway...
