Yup, you heard it right. According to Ian Wright, on his radio show he said "Eto wants to play at Arsenal but Wenger dont want him"
WHY???????
Lot of talk about Eto at moment. Links with Man U and no doubt Liverpool and Chelsea will be in on the bidding too if hes free in the summer.

| Because the price will be too high and with David Dein gone Wenger probably doesn't think Arsenal's new cheque signers will pay silly money.

There are a lot of players who Arsene Wenger could of got before they became big. Arsene was the first to spot Peter Cech a season before he went to Chelsea. He was going to get him, but their was some issues with his work permit. Apparently he even considered getting Drogba back when he was at Lens.
Right now Arsenal needs a Striiker. I mean a real striker, not some support striker, we have too many already.
Apparently Real Madrid want Arsenal to pay 18 million for Baptista, so Arsenal are going to send him back. Also its likely Reyes will be sold. For some reason I can also see Flamini, and maybe Ljunberg leaving Arsenal as well. If we do not buy a striker then next season will be a waste of time.
I have heard rumours that Darren bent is going to go to Tottenham, and that Defoe will come to Arsenal.

Sounds good to me. Bent, Keane, and Berbatov at Spurs? Plenty of goals there....
Defoe on form is a great finisher, but he's a little inconsistent and a little lightweight in the Prem where speed and physical power count for a lot. Not in Henry's class and Gooners need someone close to that level if you're gonna make fourth place next year much less better it....that's two seasons running now....
Defoe over Eto'o? Strange thinking.....

Are you guys serious? I mean have you seen him play day to day? He disappears for large strokes of the game and I mean LARGE portions of the game.
I could see if he was holding the ball up for the rest of his team, but he is usually looking for them to work the bball up so he can run on to one. He thing is speed and as soon as he gets past those slow ass Spanish defenders he cracks one.
Don't get me wrong. He is a nice player, but he fits in better at other clubs more than he does at Arsenal. Barca passes a lot like we do, actually we pass more. If he cannot fit in at Barca and their game how will he work into ours?

| I've seen Eto'o live Safety. And he's the best striker I've yet seen. TV doesn't show everything a person does in a game.

Like stand back and wait on the ball to be played to him instead of getting involved in the team? (while being praised by commentators of course)
Or starting arguments with your own teammates and coach leading to internal team strife? (while again being praised by the same teammates)
I can say the same thing about Terrell Owens....
Yep TV can never tell us how or show us all the little things he does off the ball that makes him a great player, probably the best wide receiver on the planet......
BUT his penchant for disrupting championship caliber teams, no control over his mouth, and LAZINESS on some possessions if things are not going his way speaks the same of Eto'o.
Barca, Real, AC Milan, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Man United come on here about as regularly as the news. AC Milan have their own show as well as the big three in the UK which last for 3 hours each and are on at least twice a day. Heck I even get the Guatemalan, Brazilian, Argentinian, Honduran, Mexican, Colombian, and other Latin American leagues....
I know what I see in Eto'o and IMHO he does not fit in at Arsenal and is a miniature version of Anelka waiting to happen again.
Did you watch Getafe kick the dog sh*t out of Barca? Eto'o was disguised as a grass ninja off Naruto......... LOL
He does not hold the ball a lot of time so that his help can get forward. Oh don't get me wrong, he has bursts where he does that in a game and Barca are fluid, but if he does not feel like it and has a "play me through or I am not going to run type of night", barca suck.
Watch him against teams or defenses he should kill. He turns it on and off. If he stayed on the full time I would love to have him at Arsenal and let Arsene just deal with LeSulk part 2, but I watch Eto'o a lot and what the announcers say about him and his actual game are two different things.

Dude you have it wrong. It's about movement and runs, taking defenders away. The camera follows the ball. It doesn't show you the importance of a players movement off the ball and how he keeps the teams shape and makes space for other players. Despite being a scorer he is incredibly unselfish.
As a player yourself SB you should see these things.

Which is my point. In some games he does not move LOL In some games he is like Henry other games all over the pitch, other games he plays like Horsfield at best just waiting on the ball up front and unless it comes to his feet he is waving in a PO'd motion at his midfield.
Iam not knocking his quality the goals speak for themselves . Arsenal needs a finisher like Eto'o it is something we lack, but it can't be Le Sulk 2. If we somehow get him, I hope that i am wrong but watching him.
Oh Watcher you need to watch Gol TV if you can get it. The Spanish television coverage is lot better than British coverage. A lot of times they do cover the forwards runs off the ball and talk about it being part of the play. I guess since it is a league built on skill first then speed.
I wish you could see how slick of passer Ruud has become. He caught a volley out of the air Saturday and flicked it backwards into Raul's path during a REAL second half comeback score. If I did not see him set that up I would have never believed it. LOL

Ruud is dutch Dutch footballers have great control and passing as a given. Wether he was able to deploy that in certain EPL games is not certain but it's not exactly new. Ruuds close control in particular was always good so I'm not suprised at all. Besides, Spanish defences are lame lame lame and it's piss easy to score there. Ask Hasselbaink for goodness sake.
BTW why do you assume I don't watch Spanish Liga?

Eto'o equals trouble
Never seen a player with such an ego. He is the reason for all the drama in Barcelona. It started with his remarks that he deserves the same salary as Ronaldinho. The boy must have lost his mind.
He is the reason why Ronaldinho wants to leave the club, why Deco wants to leave the club.
Wenger knows about it, that's why he says no to EGo'o
