Oh dear
One silly win over chelski and they are out running their mouth as if they have won the champions league.
I think this thread should be closed, its defacing BNV.

@HighIQ,,
Sounds like sour grapes coming from the Arsenal supporters here. Look at Arsene Wenger the other day at West Ham. Lose one game and he loses it and wanna confront Alan Pardew. I remember he wanted to do the same thing when spurs played arsenal last season.
Anyway back to the present, Spurs beating chelsea just goes to show that with the right mentality, any team can be beaten.
Lets see if Arsenal will beat them at emirates stadium..........somehow I don't think so...

Good draw against Blackburn away. Should bolster the lads after the shock display at Reading. I think that Reading result was because of complacency. After such a good result against Chelsea I think some of the lads thought that victory was a divine right. Hence the school boy defending at corners during that game.
Kamarl
The brown kit got to go. That I agree.
Dont worry about old-timers like Kunjufu who infest Tottenham boards like a bad case of par-avian flu. We are on the rise/ and they cant stop us.

Kunjufu had been unusually quiet since Saturday.......
Great win against Wigan. Things are looking good for the Spurs.

this is Spurs best chance for years to turn us over, we still haven't quite settled at Ashburton Grove yet. If you don't do it this time it could be another 10 years before you get a better chance!!
Having said that I can't see you lot pulling it off, not with your pathetic away record. No goals, no attack, no hope.
The best you can hope for is a draw, and 1-1 or 0-0 would be a great result for you.
The 1st derby post-Bobby, we could have done with him and his love of spurs this Saturday...
Still I expect a backlash from Henry, especially after a bizarre performance last night.

Speaking of away records........after last night, Gooners can wave bye-bye to the Premiership for another season....no way ManUre/Chelski will lose five games before the end of the season...
But Saturday will be interesting......COYS!!!

of course the title has gone for another year, thats 3 years for us now. Maybe next season
clearly a long way to go to match the mighty Spurs, is it 45 years now? I was thinking the other day, my dad came to England in 1967, which means in his time in England (40 years next August) he has never seen the Spurs win the league.
That means two generations of Arsenal fans have passed since Spurs were champions.
When you think of it like that you really understand the enormity of it all.

Wouldn't count on 3 years.....Henry's got about that left (if that) and you have no-one else at his level without spending big money....and then you have Chelski to contend with, never mind ManUre who have your number more often than not.....Gooners will be top 4 but they'll struggle to win the Prem for a while with the current crop of players.....
And give me Spurs' tradition any day.....we ain't so far away from the days of 'boring Arsenal'....and Spurs ain't finished yet. The world is round......

Henry 3 years? I'll remind you of that statement when we get to March and he is again leading the scoring charts, because as sure as Spring follows Winter, Henry will find his form this season.
you're all the same. Stuck in a timewarp in the days of Blanchflower and Greaves. You still believe in this divine right of being a big club, and you don't appreciate the fact that you are being left behind. I hear Charlton are looking into plans to fill in their corners boosting capacity to 40,000.
Even West Ham will have a bigger stadium than you if they get the old Hackney Market stadium. And where are the plans to expand your club? To enter the 21st century? They are stuck in the rambling red tape in Haringey Council and TFL who refuse to sanction the expansion of Northumberland Park or Seven Sisters station. So Spurs are stuck in a tiny 36,000 ground while the rest of their more successful London neighbours make do with much larger grounds.
All the pipe dreams about Olympic stadiums and Alexandra Palace have come to nothing. Just empty soundbites, just like the good old days when the Spurs board under Alan Sugar used to announce the impending arrival of superstars (Rivaldo etc) during pre season to coax the naieve souls to buy season tickets.
Champions League Qualification is the cornerstone of our season these days, its just a pipe dream for Spurs fans. We now have a stadium capable of generating enough money to remain a force even if the unthinkable happened and we missed out on the Champions League.
We have in place an infrastructure which will continue our success long after Wenger retires. You have only vague memories of Hoddle and Ardiles, of Gazza and Linekar. 2 trophies in 21 years (1 of which the league cup) says it all really. The world may indeed be round, but evolution comes with an acceptance that things will change. Spurs are clinging onto the past and as such will never be allowed to evolve.
The lower echlons of the football league is littered with other clubs who couldn't let go of the past. Ask Nottingham Forest.

Welcome the reminder if it's needed.....I don't have to be right......but enjoy Henry while he lasts.....
As for the rest........spare me the ifs, buts, and maybes about Wet Spam and Charlton (are you sure!!)......check the Prem table for who is leaving who behind in London, this season and last.......no doubt that aspirations haven't matched achievements at WHL over the years, for different reasons.......but for some of us, there is more to supporting a club than winning things, strange as it may seem to anyone with the 'glory-hunting' mentality which dominates these days.....it is, after all, ONLY A GAME.....which is why I can appreciate Arsenal when they play as well as they did a couple of seasons back...
But as this is a thread about Spurs this is my last word on the Gooners - don't take the future for granted:
http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/sport/2006/12/01/no_wonder_arsenal_are_struggli.html
Time will tell. COYS.
