| All I know is that the players select are just existing LOL They do not keep clean sheets, make enough saves to register points or score goals. While one of them may do this per week, nothing like my last crew where goals were in abundance. Heck I may have to drop Henry and pick up Big Perm at Chelsea.......

Well if you guys can make it through week 5 as when I made my last run, you will then not have to worry about me LOL
If I pick your players though as the season is shaping up you may have to prepare for inefficiency out of them that week LOL

What i dont understand is how you sell players for more than what you bought them for. I cant ever remember being able to do it however the rules state:
"Player prices vary during the season dependent on the popularity of the player in the transfer market. Player values will not change until the season starts.
If you sell a player for a higher price than you paid, then a sell-on fee of 50% (rounded up to the nearest 0.1 million) will be applied on the profits. For example, if you buy a player for 4.2 million and when you transfer him his value is 4.5 million then you will only receive 4.3 million."

I understand the maths but has anyone actually witnesed this example?Last edited on Saturday September 23rd, 2006 05:59 by Le Moor

Yeah it happens. I did it last season with Henry when he got hurt (bought for 14, sold for 14.1) Problem you are encountering is that none of us sell our players when they are hot. So if they produce early we hold onto them until they are sent back to play with the reserves LOL
If you notice, you can also LOSE money on players as well. Last year at the beginning of the season my worth dropped down to 99.8 or 99.7 I was shocked.

Hmmmmm im not convinced SB. Ive had players increase and they still sell for what ive bought them at. So still cant see how this eg above works.

It works LeMoor
Today I sold Cahill. I bought him at 7.6 and now he is woth 8.0. The sale price is usually half of the gain. In this case I gained .04 off of him and half of that is 0.2.
THe problem is that many of us never sell our producing players. SO you never see the profit.
Look at your team in the transfer windo. Look at the bought and sell columns. You would get the sale price. Sometimes this price is lower than what you bought at. Also look at the Cost column. The sale price is between what you bought at and his current cost.
@ Others
I am coming for my top spot. You see that I overtook K on the weekend and now I am coming for the rest of you. #1 is mine, I'll let you guys fight over #2

I am systematically taking you guys over one a week LOL Once I get to the top, it is the old blocking maneuvers LOL
I am the Mourinho of this league, I don't win flashy I just strangle the life out of it LOL
Considering I was at 14th in the league and rising every week or so, I will catch the leader by the break.

OK Ive now just sussed it. The price showing on my players today are the inflated prices not the prices i paid for them, which is what has been throwing me. I was expecting the calculation to kick in each time you sold, but of course it has already been factored in when they reprice the players each week.
Half my team is out today with injuries. This is not right. I can feel a forfit week coming up when i change my entire team. Is this a good idea im thinking or is it better to change week by week.
