If it were Gerrald Houlier you were talking about i would agree, couldn't wait for him to go.
Rafa is a good manager, one of the best around at present, and from what ive seen of the players hes bought they look ok too.
Its not easy to gel a team but we're not starting from scratch, more building upon.
Serious have a likkle faith bro, mans delivered Champions League and FA Cups in his first two seasons, say no more.

Dont be slating rafa, whats wrong with you. We buy 'second rate players' because we're not chelsea or Real Madrid who are ready to put up with over-inflated prices. Lost faith in the manager already? I have to agree I dont completely see eye to eye with rafa but he's done the job the past two seasons so i cant complain!
How would i describe rafa's tactics and style of play? Boring but effective.

Sitting here in a 'Beach Bar' and have to say watching that match has just spoiled my holiday.
What you saw there was a far superior Liverpool side against a team with world class finishers.
The goal from Drogba was clinical and was the difference between us on the day. We just didnt put our chances away.....simple

Pennant..Joke someone please tell him the whole point of being a winger is to provide a final PASS!!!! like duh!!
Gerrad Simply is out of form, took a chance when he should have PASSED,
Kuyt what can onev say about this joker...except that he obviously needs a GPS system to find the flippin goal...
And really is there no one in Liverpool that KNOWS that when playing 10 Men that you need to play the ball wide and run their defence ragged....did that happen..like hell it did..

It did happen - but you choose to ignore it.
Pennant was putting in some good(and sh*t) crosses from the right...
this was only made into use when Crouch came on very late in the game
Rafa should have played him for the last 20 mins or so..

All this talk about Liverpool only confirms we're a threat.
Were only 5 points behind Chelsea and Man U 5 games in. To concede the title already is crazy.
@Rafa Kuyt has his first goal this season, the rest will follow im sure.
My only critism of Rafiel B is his positoning of Gerrard. He has to play in the middle or the very least on the right side of midfield, if you wish to get the best out of him.
Alonso, Sissoko and Pennant need to be rotated around him. Its tough as i said earlier, as if you wish to play with two upfront you woundnt want to drop any of them.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Martin Jol is a big admirer of Dirk Kuyt and believes Liverpool have signed a player who can become a Kop hero.
Jol admitted he tried to sign his fellow Dutchman Kuyt before the striker moved to Anfield and has told his defenders to watch him like a hawk.
"I said last year, when nobody knew him, that he was a '20-20' player - 20 goals and 20 assists a season," enthused Jol. "In Europe there is maybe no-one else who is a '20-20' player.
"We came very close to signing him and everybody knows him now. He is the best character you can have. He works, he can head the ball, he can score goals - not like David Ginola or even Robbie Keane - but he is so functional in his way.
"He never loses a ball and is a 100 per cent team player. He is different. He has got strength as well. He is not only a gifted forward - he's an all-rounder.
"He moves well and his fitness levels are unbelievable. He makes things look simple but that is his strength. He started off in non-league but his career then went like a rocket. He was not at Ajax, Feyenoord or PSV - he was not in a youth academy. He came from an amateur club when he was 18.
"He went to Utrecht and they sold him to Feyenoord. He could have moved on from Feyenoord but he wanted to stay because he is the most popular player ever at that club. He is an honest player.
"His mentality is so good that he wants to be better and better and works day and night to do that. So that is his strength.
"But Liverpool have got all the qualities in attack, not just Kuyt. I saw Craig Bellamy play in Holland against PSV and he was stretching everybody with his runs.
"If Peter Crouch is playing, all the crosses will come in and be dangerous. If Crouch is not playing, Bellamy will be getting into the channels, so they have got all the qualities.
"Kuyt is not unique but he works so hard that he is capable of doing everything. He can link-up, he can play high-up and he is a box player who can play on either flank. For Utrecht he played on the right side and for Holland he is playing on the left. He is such a versatile player."

| Finally we're back in business, i hope! Liverpool are a funny team, we didnt turn up against FC Mainz or the mighty sheffield united, but then end up stuffing newcastle and tottenham. Some outside observers are wondering why do we think we have a chance. The answer is that last season we went on a run of ten straight wins...TWICE. So we know what we are capable of. If we can extend those straight wins then happy days.

See the way Gerrard beat the defender for the first goal. The playe is a genius. The doone what they didn't do last week...put their chances away...most weeks will be like that!
Alonso is a don who can fill Gerrards boots if Gerrard is injured. even better it's good to see the two can actually play on the same pitch together i.e. they don'tcancel each other out.
If I love Benitez for nothing else, it will be for giving Riise regular play. Houlier wasted many a talent at this club!

You're right, Gerrard is a magical player and is getting better. Our midfield is awesome, strongest line-up in the premiership. Riise is good but i wouldnt have him as my first choice left back. Aurello the Brazillian looks a much player. Real continential feel about him with a sweet left foot. Riise is a good player but is guilty of hoofing the long ball on occasions when the more asute player knows how to keep possesion.
Champions League midweek at home to Galatasaray(spelling). Weve beaten them before with a weaker squad than present. So expect them to get dusted down neatly.

it was Kuyt's second goal this season - he scored Vs Newcastle midweek....
I think Martin Jol described him perfectly there - "20 goals and 20 assists player"...!! 
Not sure if he will get us 20+ goals this year.. but i'd be happy if he scores 15+ goals plus assists!!
Regarding Gerrard - i agree - he needs to be played where he's good at - but not at the expense of Xabi or Momo - With the current system, we're winning games playing some good football- creating chances along the way .. if it aint broke, dont fix it i think...!! Im sure Gerrard will play centre when needs be..!! like say when we're behind or summin.. i trust Rafa to make the tactical changes when needs be...!!! I see no reason why we should play Gerrard centre just to keep him happy... boy he does look well depressed though......
Our next 3 games are Bolton AWAY, Blackburn HOME and Man United AWAY
Anything less than 7 points from these games would be a disaster!! We need to beat Bolton and Blackburn end of!! No excuses!!
We can beat Man U but i'd be happy with a point!!
Our next 10 games after Man U will be pretty straightforward.. i think we can win all 10..

Le Moor / rafa - I do fear the squad might be getting to diverse where benitez has issues picking the right team for the right match...think he's changed things around too much already for the start of this season. Think Crouch should have started against Chelsea miself.
I agree Riise is more an asset than someone you use day in day out but in a way I kind of feel happy for him, he just looks happy in himself to be at least part of the rotation system as opposed to being played cos there's no other choice.
