Just seen The Final in full....Absolutely Sensational Liverpool .....Few teams ever come back from a 1/0 Deficit against Italian Teams....To come back from 2/0 against an Italian Club side like Milan is almost unheard of since European Competition began 50 Years ago.....To recover from 3/0 is sheer fantasy island.....then the double save at the very end then the Penalties ,,,,Absolutely incredible.....and now having Won The Trophy they get to keep it permanently.
..............Bill Shankly would have been very proud....

Right its time to get technical now that ive dealt wid the unbelievers.
What a game. Do you know i was on the way home from an appointment the day after and listening on the radio. When we were 3 nil down Alvin Martin said
"its getting embarrassing now. Liverpool are just playing for pride. No team has ever returned from a 2-0 deficeit let alone a 3-0. its hopeless"
Oh how wrong he was. Probably the reason why he only ever played for West Ham.
What a game. What a rahtid game. Best in Europe EVER and if anyone wishes to challenge that bring it on. Mancky U win over B. Munich is like comparing sand with ice cream.

He was unbelieveable again last night and if ive ever seen a case where they should take the players players cup back and admit a mistake, this is the occasion. Jon Terry would be a sub in our team- serious.
Jimmy Traoe hero.Jimi played out of his skin last night. Dudek hero. Did you see the double save from Shev.sh*t.co and the saves in the penalty shoot out. Hero.Hypia hero. Gerrad hero- true captain marvel and an unbelievable performance. Where can he leave and go now. Anywhere else is a massive downwards move. Smicer hero one of my old favourites. Hanman-hero mans still got it. Alonso-hero man has developed into one of the best midfeilders in the world. Garcia-hero. Rinse-hero. Harry Kewell-Loser time we sold this chump. Oh how could i forget.
The new sherif in town.
He showed last night why hes head and shoulders above Wenger,Fergerson and Muriniho. This mans record is spotless. He is so resourceful. He was faced with real tests last night and dealt with them all inch perfectly. Including a team talk at half time to a team 3-0 down to AC Milan. The only thing i question him for (and he probably has a good answer) is why did he play Harry Kewell. He plays with no passion for Liverpool. Potential has nothing to do with it.

| The mistake Liverpool were making is that they went to steal the cup (a bit like Arsenal in the FA cup final) as opposed to winning it by playing football. When they were down and apparently buried they were forced to play ball. If they had scored first they would have sat on that goal and eventually lost. Liverpool Kings of Europe...we're back!

No bets this time Incognito never bet with emotion i say.
Anyway you're right when they had to play they did. Its just how football is. A big part is the players sub conscious and how it reacts to scorelines. As soon as they went 3-3 the tempo slowed again. If they could have kept it going they would have embarrassed Milan.
Liverpool and Ajax showed that if you play premiership style football (fast paced) and use the flanks, then Milan really arent all that.

As a Gooner I have to say well done to Liverpool, and Kunjufu needs to come back on here and apologise for the shameful gloating he put you guys through, i was routing for Liverpool before the match i wanted them to win, just to make it an even worst season for Man U!

I take it all back. Best Champion league final ever. Stevie Gerard is now an official Liverpool legend.
Still probably end up 5th next season but the scousers deserved it.
Its a travesty of natural justice and everything that a champions league should be about though.

I gotta a say I was hoping Milan had it wrapped up (they've been my Serie A team for ever !) but after I heard they'd thrown away a 3-1 lead to hand the league to Juventus I was concerned.
Once Gerrard (how excellent a captain was HE!!!!) scored I knew Liverpool were gonna do it, their fire was back and Milan were sleeping.
I won't even mention the penalties. I do feel for my man Maldini as he'll probably retire and poor Schevy who really should have scored a couple, but on the night there's no denying the best team won.
WELL DONE LIVERPOOL!
