The organisers of this meeting appear to be Lee Jasper and Simon Woolley, both of The Black Jewish Forum. They both played significant roles in the decision to ban Professor Tony Martin from speaking at a Black History Conference in London less than 18 months ago.
Given that, how can they invite Jesse Jackson, given that he referred to Jews as "Hymies" and New York City as "Hymietown" in private conversations with journalists, when Professor Tony Martin has never ever made any such statement about Jews?
Double Standards?

I gather that the assembled speakers did not take a single question from the audience and that Auntie Angie Le Mar - presumbly made to sit on the platform at the request of co-sponsors, Choice FM - was completely sidelined after using a short break for a change in speakers as an excuse to tell some of her "jokes". Having tried to turn a serious political meeting into a stand up comedy, Simon Woolley refused to allow here to speak again (she was supposed to be MC), apparently leaving her sitting in silence in the centre of the platform for 2 hours trying to look "serious" (which apparently consisted of her sitting with her head tilted at a 45 degree angle for the remainder of the evening.
