Hello Blackneters,
I am Dada, I take my name from the post WWI Art Movement that rejected establishment ideals of Art and Culture in Europe, take Dadaism to part of the absurdist development in the performance arts and am not unaware of the irony of the words Nigerian Connotations.
I have posted on Blacknet for longer than I care to remember and had a sorjourn during it's period of absolute absurdity as generated by the likes of U.K Native and some other fool.
I am very pleased with the timely Reformation of Blacknet and have always been impressed with the various contributors that have posted on here, some of which I recognized from back in the day and others of the present. Blacknet has always been for me the CUTTING EDGE OF BLACK\AFRICAN THOUGHT IN THE DIASPORA AND THE MOTHERLAND, it has always been a good mix of grass roots opinion and intellectual debate. Indeed it has shown up it's minor rivial through being less pretenious in proclamation and concerned it'self with content over style. After all if one wants to talke about dating Blacknet has the facility to placate that desire  (are you listening EPN) .
I am of Jamaican and Nigerian Ancestory and Born and Bred in Britain, proud of all three, but due to recent events I am particular interested in African, West African and Nigerian Culture, Politics and Customs particularly of the Yoruba Tribe. Let's just say its of a heiridetory nature.
I am particularly interested in how we as Africans, Motherland or Disporian define ourselves in the 21st Century in terms of our values, economic , social and political power.
I am not anti White, or Yellow for that matter, but I do care for the advancement of my fellow Africans in a world where the power framework has been working against us. I am not a supporter of victum mentality or the handout following of affirmative action, but in reality an Objectivist that firmly believes that it is through our own endeavours that our salvation comes, to this end each one of us are important in the manner and way in which we act in respect to repsenting our selves personally and collectively to those in whose societies we live that begrudgingly allocates advancement or opportunities it rather would not give or could not careless about.
In relationship to the above, I was interested in Ramjons own interest in the History of the Battle of Stalingrad , which is a favourite tale of interest to me. I believe that the fate of those of us in the Dispora will be a lot better than that of the six army simply because from a moral point of view we, if we can work together, deserve to surmount our difficulties.

Good to see you on this side. However I must take some issue with you on the sixth army analogy. I think that if we as black people worked in the same heroic way as the Red Army, when all the odds were staked against it, we would avoid the dishonourable fate of poland and France. Indeed, while I admire General Paulus, and other great soldiers like Hans Hube, Guderian and others I am happy that the Red Army gave them a good kicking..after all you and I would probably not be alive in the Ruskies hadn won that battle.
And it was all down to the great teamwork of a mighty people, working together.

hi everyone my name is authordox i have been posting on blacknet for just a few weeks. I used to read the messages in the past but i just registered a few weeks ago. I live in London and work in a school as a learning Mentor, which is a student counseller/teacher. I like debating about black issues and i am really concerned about the situation of the africian community around the world. Whether it be in the caribbean, America or Britain.
I love watching films and i'm into music, i use the name authordox because i am also a poet and i use that name when i write poetry.
i've met a few of you guys already and i think you are a great bunch.

Hey ' kunjufu ,whats up with the'speak out' is this how things are running now,we have to wait for the column to change, thats abit time consuimng man!!!!.
are you redesigning the forum pages because when I click on forum I getverror coming up , and I know its not a fault with me as it is indicating it is a problem with the page.

Found this site on New years day. I am a UK born 'Trini', 40 years, single and love life to the full! I have travelled extensively but never enough. I love and enjoy work and have my own business in the health related field. I have a degree in Engineering.
