Hi dear, i don't know if you watched Child of Our Time on BBC1 last week......i won't go into details as there is a thread on it already. You could do what the black mother did and teach your child his history. There is nothing more dangerous than a black man who does not know his history.

It does not matter where you are from....What people like Marcus Garvey and Malcom X did, was for US collectively as a people and a race.

Teach him about where you are originaly from and if money permits take him there for longer hollidays to visit families ect......

Be involved in his studies very carefully. Do you have any male presence in his life? make sure they are possitive role models.
