Too much foolishness in the last few days... Certain bullys trying to force the agenda of the site and beat down those who dont agree with them and certain not so subtle instigators who always start trouble and run from it feigning ignorance and innocence only to do it again... all accusing us mods of taking taking sides and being biased.
We will make sure people can discuss issues and that topics are not censored by certain people who turn them into farce to avoid what is being discussed. Freedom of speech doesnt just mean us stopping threads by locking them, it means you guys stopping them by making beating down opposing views.
To that end I repost what Ashanti said in another thread.
This is not what BlackNet is about. This is not the African way. For those of you who seem to have forgotten, the editorial content is not controlled by a few individuals or more appropriately bullies, never has been and never will be. The overall integrity of this site is more important than a few bullies who are too ignorant, too selfish and too childish to elevate a discussion without reducing it to what we have witnessed here the last couple of days.
If you don't like what has been said, tough! Don't let us keep you, there are more sites that are willing to entertain your foolishness but this ain't one of them! The Mods are not here to baby sit and act as friggin referees to those who want to act like spoiled kids and then whine and b*tch once they have forced us to take action. Do you think this is fair to the other blackchatters who come here for a good debate/discussion and are put off by your despicable behavior?!
If any of the behavior in question continues (taking your personal beefs from thread to thread, exchanging racial insults, going extremely off topic, etc..) in any more threads and warnings are continually ignored then you will be asked to leave for an amount of time determined by the modreation team and if you don't, we will start proceedings to have you permanently banned. I hope I have made myself clear and I also hope we don't have to go down this road again!
