Some of you by now may have seen the links to the NEW Brand..Village Community Radio service, these links will be dotted about the Blacknet community. click on these icons and follow the instructions on how to tune in..
The idea of introducing a Radio facility has been long in the planning and is now nearing its official introduction, possibly in the next week or so..(The official start date to be confirmed).
Until the official start date, The Village Community radio will be on test, live broadcasts are usually run from 7-8pm onward, please tune in and PM your thoughts on programming or music ideas direct to the Admin team...these are Dillinger, Raven or Kennedy. all ideas will be welcomed and very much appreciated...
It is hoped that Village Community Radio, will be a great complementary addition to the Chatrooms where they have been on test over the past week, and the Village forums..The ideas floating at present is to play a broad spectrum of music and also to include elements of lively talk radio..that will encompass Issues from an All-African perspective, debates on news, entertainments, Theater & Cinema reviews and Lifestyle.
I think this is an exciting development that has huge potential, so hopefully many of you will take the opportunity to tune in and give your feedback either via the Oasis Chatroom, via the PM system here in the Village or here on this thread...

May I say what an EXCELLENT move this is and a big WELL DONE to you all at Blacknet. 
You can be assured that such a positive move will have my full support in any way I can give it.
And what's great is that you can listen while you frequent the message boards....as I am doing now

Ps..I've got to give a big heads up for all the Women out there in the Village...DJ Karl, has got to have the sexiest radio voice i've ever heard.. don't believe me tune and hear for yourself..

Yeah Village Radio!!!! What a gift to tune into on a Friday night!!!! Sounds really good - you're playing some quality tunes right now  Such a very good idea!!!

i Finally clicked on to villiage radio, and i liked what i heard, the only snag was that the sound kept cutting out, however, i am aware it is currently in test transimission. So here's wishing you a successful and fruitful launch! The music i heard was fab

Its great to have these great "mellow" tunes on while I surf the village
tech question. Is there anyway I can stream It through winamp instead of windows media player?

May i say, i was listening to the village radio yesterday...sigh
It`s dry. Its "lonely" in there. How come there aint nobody talking or something, atleast?
Its wrong you know ?
But the music is lovely :-)very lovely. made my heart jump a bit :-)
But they keep repeating the same old songs, it aint on.
But i`m loving it! lovely.
