Hey people
I just got my results from uni...I got a 2.1!! Just thought I'ld share that with ya'll!!
I was a long hard road and although I could have easily got a 1st I am happy with my grades...Now what do I do with myself...Im working in marketing full time currently but Im constantly striving to do better...I kinda feel like Ive just been thrust out there...will I swim and drown...
Is anyone else a recent graduate?
What did you get?
What are your plans now?

I posted this topic in the students forum not the good news thread...if you look through it you will see it had been moved.
Now I have every right to be happy about my acheivements...and its not a case of flunting anything its a case of inspiring those who come after me....
Its a case of celebrating my acheivements...and others
If you did not like to read of a sister doing well in her education do not contribute your worthless babble to this thread....
Whether you like it or not...I am happy something I worked hard for!!
If you did not want to congratulate me you didnt have to ...as I didnt ask....I just wanted to share my good new with other students who have also just graduated...
So in future keep your negative comments to yourself!!
Also its usually those who are quick to hate who have the low self esteem...you have taken a perfectly good topic, celebrating acheivemnets and turned it into something negative...
I have been on this discussion forum for a long time....there are people who have been wondering why I hadnt been around for soo long asking questions so I just thought I'ld let them know where I had been...aint nothing wrong with that!!

Its so true that a degree has been heavily devalued nowadays....and a lot of companies want experience....that is why I did a 4 year sandwich degree course....I have spent 2 years in industry as well (1 year placement and 1 year working part-time whilst i studied at uni)... I also used to play in football basketball and athletics teams at uni...But in a lot of cases this is not enough!! Luckily I was fortunate enough to get to the final stage of a graduate recruitment process at a top consultancy multinational!! Im still working in marketing/advertising full time though...Still I got a few web -based projects Im working on!!
All about keeping things moving!!

| University qualifications dont entitle anyone to a good blackman. Black women with bad personality (hissing at blackmen on the streets for nothing etc etc) would never get a good black man regardless of the degree of their university credentials. They end up being pathetic and lonely 4ever. We are sick and tired of hearing on a regular basis "I am a very very very strong black woman blah blah blah blah with first class degree in i want my blackman to be subordinate". Since when do being arrogant and loud equate mental strength. Where do they breed some modern black women from anyways?.........Mars?
