Ancestral greetings from Moyo wa Taifa

and a very happy new year to you and yours!
As you know 2007 will be a challenging year for all those involved in the
struggle for Afrikan Liberation and Unity.
UK Government's bi-centenary celebrations
How do we respond to the government's preparation
to commemorate the alleged abolition of the Maafa
and enslavement of our ancestors?? There have
already been a plethora of reactions to this criminal
attempt at the falsification of our history and it is clear
there are many more events planned for later this year.
However one area in which we may be remiss is that
we have not yet organised amongst ourselves to know exactly who will be
doing what and how we could try
to synchronise our energies and some of our activities.
There will be a planning and information meeting as below

Kindly confirm your place at the meeting on 21st January to assist us with
the registration process.
Please bring all relevant information to the meeting. There will also be
information & updates on some related issues.
(1) International Tribunal on Reparations for Afrikan People
There willl be an international tribunal on reparations in Berlin, Germany
from 6th-8th June 2007. Under the slogan "return to the scene of the crime"
the tribunal will put on trial all the criminal Caucasian governments
involved in the Maafa and the infamous 1884 Berlin conference which
partitioned Afrika
The date of the tribunal was chosen to coincide with the 2007 G8 summit
which will also hold in Germany. ITRAP is a work-in-progress and all
Afrikans are invited to help organise!
(2) United Nations World conference against Racism;
Durban + 5 follow up conference in Addis Ababa
The 2001 UN world conference against racism in Durban, South Afrika declared
slavery as a crime against humanity.
There have been some developments since then. There will be a follow up
conference supported by the Afrikan Union in Ethiopia, February 2007. Please
see attached information.

(3) 50th Anniversary of Ghana's independence; Not yet Uhuru; The continuing
struggle for Afrikan liberation & Unity
This year is the 50th anniversary of Ghana's independence, a major landmark
in our struggle against colonialism for the space it opened up in the anti
colonial movement in Afrika.
Kwame Nkrumah's declaration that the independence of Ghana is meaningless
without the total liberation of Afrika is as poignant today as it was 50
years ago. Afrikans all over the world are organising around this time. What
are Afrikans in the UK planning? There will be updates from Ghana.
