Miles of Styles
Miles of Styles, who are the delivery partner, started life in late 2004, the brainchild of award winning writer/director Lawrence Coke. Miles of Styles is the operating name for all productions and initiatives devised or facilitated by either Lawrence Coke or the Stolen Souls. The first fully realised project to come out of the Miles of Styles stable was the multi-award winning film: Morally Speaking.
Following the success of Morally Speaking, the Miles of Styles team went on to produce another award-winning film in the form of the touching: One Day at a Time. To date Miles of Styles has now won a total of 11 awards, for recognition in the areas of script-writing, acting, directing and cinematography.

Brixton-Base Ltd
Brixton-Base Ltd “Skills for life became the vision of a group of people who saw and identified the need for hard to reach and excluded young people of South London and indeed Greater London to express themselves through media, music, drama and arts. We successfully ran 4 summer workshops in 2005, and completed a 6 –week Film/TV Training course with ITS Cine a former delivery partner in September 2006.
We are now looking forward to the new Film/TV project which starts on Monday 20 November 2006 with our current delivery partner Miles of Styles.
Brixton Base Board of Directors have worked tirelessly in ensuring that we deliver these training courses to the excluded and hard to reach youth of Lambeth, Southwark and Greater London. The Board consists of Eroll Walters – Chair, Simon Woolley – Director, Audrey Adams – Director, Jermaine Grant – Director, Donald Lindo - Director, Steve Martin (Blacker Dread) – Director and our Patron Lee Jasper of the Mayor of London’s Office.
The team currently supporting the board and their affiliate partners are – Delroy Brown - Technical Director Project, Sophia Walters - Technical Director Administration, Mick Clark – Technical Director Music – former A&R supremo who’s previous signing were Loose Ends, Maxi Priest and the legendary Soul-to-Soul and Office Administrator.
Brixton Base are also supporting projects being run by Starlight Academy, Code 7 Music, Hip-Hop Generation and 4 The Record, further information on these projects are available.
LDA
The London Development Agency has been our main funders; they have provided a support team, of which the members are Claudette Forbes - Director of Regional Relationship and Investment Planning, Adele Harrison Acting Head of Regeneration South Central and Daisy Greenaway – Regeneration Manager South and Central.
Daisy has been actively working with Brixton Base to ensure that the delivery of the projects meet the LDA’s funding requirements and also that Brixton Base meets the outputs and outcomes stipulated as part of the funding criteria. The LDA has provided tremendous support to Brixton Base in realising this vision to empower the youth of South and Greater London.
