Toyin from Ligali will be discussing the latest in a wave of patronising programming about Africa. Broadcast magazine reports that Silver River productions is recruiting "eight self-made millionaires" to travel to a remote Ugandan village "and relieve African poverty for a new factual entertainment series" on Channel 4. The Mission, as it's working-titled, will "challenge the aspiring philanthropists to decide how best they can spend a pool of their money working within UN guidelines."

BNV.... and any Ligali members...If you see Notifications of Ligali presence on the media please can you post it here if I've not done so already....thanks!!!
I think it is important that when peopleb like Ligali are representing Africans and our View point in the WHITE media.. that we should do all we can to listen in and more importantly phone in , text in or Email in messages of support..for a number of important reasons...
1. To demostrate that Ligali views represent the mass of all descent Africans here in the Uk...
2. To show visable support to Ligali and not leave them isolated and vulnerable to the onslaught of Apologists, sell outs and Europeans to vent their onesided propoganda without REPLY... (too often this has happened giveing the impression that Ligali are extremists or that they speak only for themselves..) Its time we started to orgainse and offer some visable support when they are on air...
3. If you want Ligali or groups like Ligali to have any real pressure on the those we call the Coconut class, or Europeans..then it is time we did our part and demostrate that they have a significant following...

That's right Fu - take the Birmingham thing, we had countless negroes saying it was our fault for starting rumours which led to the murder of one of our own but how many Asians pointed fingers at their own community in outrage of the murder.
We need to stick together even in times where we have differences and have guilty-as-charged soldiers within our ranks. All the more important for a need for leadership and heirarchy as opposed to this too many chefs thing we are on.
For years many have complained that nobody has tried yet when someone has tried the complaining goalposts simply shift in argument. Ligali has made the effort, get behind them...supporting them doesn't mean you have to stop watching Eastenders!
