Our story brings together a wide spectrum of Africa n and Carribean culture to form an unprecedented blend of edutainment heritage and culture for all the family.
Sunday 17th September - Lloyds Park Theater - Forest Road - Walthamstow - London E17.
From 12 - 8pm
Workshops include;
- Egyptian yoga.
- African craft.
- Youth and Black leadership.
- Youth and Black music.
- Natural hair dressing.

Could anyone explain or clarify the connection between the organisation described as "Holy Tabernacle Ministries" and the individual described here please?
I think this is important as users of this website should be clear about this before taking their children to this event.

They took him down just like any other leader MG. No one gets one hundred and thirty five years like that, they deamonized him, simple and plain. You should know better than to belive in european media.
If I'm to belive M.York is a peado then I'm a gun toting monkey & the Palestinians should stop being so mean to the great state of Israel... A.Shakure should be hunted down for what she did to those police officers and locked up and Steven Biko fell down some stairs at the station in south africa.
Still, if people want to belive that BS then fine. I'm not with NWBU I'm just happy to help them out because they're doing good. Teach people more than they'd get during the whole of the Black History Month and in european schools with a curriculum centered around WW2 and colonialism.
If I get locked up, considered a threat to the state and pinned with the murder of a blonde european I hope you'd kinda wake up man.

Is it correct or not that the gentleman behind this organisation pleaded guilty to numerous charges of sexually abusing African children as a result of which he was sentenced to serve 135 years imprisonment?
I think that the clarification is worth it if Africans are considering taking their own children to this event or supprting the organisation concerned.
Can anyone clarify or confirm the facts?

I think you misjudge the US government totally in what they can and will do if you don't comply to their say so. They probably threatened his family or said they'd execute him or something, gave him some 'deal' and forced him to plead guilty.
Again, I don't really follow NWBU but really, allow posting some biased report, you should know better than that man. If you intend to post up a link about a 'political' or 'religious' leader of ours at least post one up thats from an African source and not biased....its like posting up The Daily Mails interpretation of Mr Mark Thatchers goings on in Africa or like wise.

Its a term for us displaced disporan Africans. Although in my case my pops line is North African.
Granted that people should prehaps know about Dr York but not in some blatantly biased way, they're actually good people although I prefer to learn about Egypt minus the theories the NWBNs come out with... some of which are true but a bit far fetched for most people... a bit like the NOI really, they draw from the same stuff and get deep...

Im not a member of Nubian heritage but I list to the radio shows they do. From what I know, and from what I have heard from people they do a lot of good works in the afarican community, espacially in the continent where they are building schools in Nigeria Liberia etc.
Personally MGL im not too sure about the whole child molestation thing.
I find it very odd that they gave him 100 years, that tells me their is a hidden hand in all of this.
Instead of running your mouth and being so quick to believe what the media says I think you should actually take time to go to one of those classes yourself, and up certain questions, and then make your decision

Man, they've even got our own attacking us.
You've let me down big time MGL thought you'd be more aware than that. If you get arrested for any work you do in the UK or Africa prehaps we should take to beliving the oppressors rather than you? Plz wake up MGL. Its things like this that make people give up hope.
The event is even supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund; http://www.hlf.org.uk/English/. As in they're supporting it, saying its part of our Heritage and that we should know about it. Forget Dr York see whats being done.
