Images of Black Women is proud to announce its second international Black Women Film Festival in London. The event will take place during the International Women's month in March 2006 from the 3rd to the 5th of March at the Tricycle Cinema 269 Kilburn High Road London NW67JR.
The programme includes: Feature Films, Documentaries, workshops, talks, networking and short film competitions.
Images of Black Women aims to promote African descent actresses, directors, producers and screenwriters in order to increase the knowledge and the role of Black women in films, both past and present, and enhance the visibility of Black women in front of the camera and behind the lens. Ultimately Images of Black Women want to encourage more African descent women to enter and stay in this industry where there are very few female from minority group work.
