MicClub @ The Telegraph : Wednesday 26th October
Greetings people. For those who are interested, MicClub returns for October with top acoustic performances, poetry and hiphop. This Wednesday's event will feature the following artists...For more info, see contact details below.
Shiikan :
The beautiful, sister, vocal harmony of 'Shilan' are back for Autumn 2005
with a new member, their younger sister and a new name - Shiikan. An addition
that can only add to their strong stage presence and sound. Check out
their bios in the online profiles
Twin MCs :
Right now on the underground circuit, these two MCs have got everyone talking. They stole the show at the Prince's Trust festival at Earl's Court back in the summer and have been winning talent shows all over London, most recently UK Unsigned - energetic, lyrical synergy from two talented MCs.
Mike Soul:
Talented singer, producer and musician, Mike Soul aka Michael Nelson has been perfecting his sound in the studio both behind the desk and the Mic. Now frequenting the live stage, his performances are well received by all. His sound -
classic acoustic R&B soul. A&Rs keep watch!
WAWESH :
Straight out of Kenya - this artist recently released his first
single "Mjanja", recorded his video and is taking the African
HipHop scene by storm. Bringing his addictive hooks, bouncy beats and
multi-lingual rhythm to London, WAWESH will no doubt get you moving and
reciting some Swahili! A set not to be missed! Visit his site at http://www.wawesh.com
Camille :
A bright, young singing talent from the same label as UK soul star Teish O'day (Ghet'o Fabulous UK). She makes her debut performance at MicClub performing tracks from her forthcoming album.
That's the line up, couple more to add. Look forward to seeing you next wednesday. Take care, have a good weekend!
