Registration process:
STEP1: You fill out a Medical form before a trained person takes a tablespoon of your blood.
STEP 2: Your Bone Marrow type is determined and entered onto the UK Registry which is searched internationally on behalf of patients like DJ Swing who need a Marrow transplant.
STEP 3: If you are identified as a donor then in a simple procedure under a general anaesthetic approx 2% of your Marrow fluid is collected by a needle from the pelvic region or it can be collected as an outpatient on a blood cell separator machine.
STEP 4: Your Marrow naturally replenishes itself within a short space of time and you recover very quickly from the procedure.
