'FOOTBALL PALS RAPE GIRL OF 15'

Gang served her as 'dessert' in 24 hour ordeal, jury told

SIX soccer players subjected a girl of 15 girl to a brutal 24-hour gang rape as she was offered up as "dessert", a court was told yesterday.
The gang - said to include Grimsby Town's Terrell Forbes - allegedly forced her to have sex "many, many times".
They called up more men to join in, cheered as they took it in turns to humiliate her, videoed her in sex acts and threatened her with a cosh into complying, the jury heard.
Prosecutor Nicholas Atkinson QC said: "The defendants are professional footballers or on the fringes of that sport and indulged themselves in an activity where a large number of men have sex with one woman.
"They wanted to do that but the girl of 15 they selected did not. You will hear from the victim that she was indecently assaulted, that she was raped many, many times during the course of almost a day."
He added: "A number of men visited the flat. Many were summoned by the suggestion there was 'dessert' there for them."
Mr Atkinson said DNA tests on items in the flat confirmed that more than six men were involved. "She was abused by many others who have not been identified and do not appear before you in this dock."
He told Kingston crown court the girl - now 16 - had known Shane Sutherland, 21, for a month and they had sex.
One night he collected her from a youth club in Euston, North London, to give her a lift home - but with Kevin George, 21, in the car drove her to 23-year-old Philip Mighton's flat in Brockley, South East London.
Mr Atkinson said: "While in the car she heard a number of phone calls being made. She realised she was not going home but to another address. They arrived at about 10pm. On the doorstep Sutherland moved his hands into her knickers and said, 'Once we go inside, you have to get straight into this'."
The jury heard several men pulled off her clothes and George forced her to perform a sex act while another threatened her with a cosh. Several men demanded she do the same.
Mr Atkinson said: "They were showing a DVD that featured people being killed in various ways and she was threatened that her safety was at very great risk."
He said that throughout the night the men phoned others and she heard them saying: "We've got some dessert for you."
When she was videoed "she was told she had to 'act happy' and if she didn't co-operate she would be hit with the cosh". He said someone took the camera and tape and police have not found the film.
The next day the girl managed to text a friend, saying "that about 12 (men) had had sex with her" and she had been threatened. Her friend immediately called the police.
Eventually she was put in a taxi - and police met her in Euston. Medical tests found bruises and evidence of forced sex, it was said.
Sutherland told police the girl initiated a sex act with him and then someone else and that when he asked if she was "cool" about his filming her she said yes, the jury heard.
Former Queens Park Rangers player Forbes, 23, of Cleethorpes, Lincs, and Londoners Sutherland, of Anerley, George, of Catford, Mighton, of Brockley, Darren Wallace, 23, and Ashley Campbell, 21, both of Brockley, deny rape. The trial continues.
I'm so shocked by this story. I just want to know why?

It makes your stomach turn.
Unfortunately, this is happening quite a lot, but it's only cases like these that get exposure. Not that long ago a girl got dragged off the street in Dalston and was attacked, no-one tried to intervene. A few years ago a girl got attacked in Greenwich by a gang on her way to the shops, also there was a similar attack involving a gang in Lewisham that came to light last year I think, and those are the ones that make it to the newspaper.
The only thing I can say imo, is that it boils down to the culture of instant gratification, 'my needs must be met now', no self-control, that and the fact that as soon as some of us get a little power/influence, we just have to abuse it.
I'm sure there was a channel 4 doc about something like this a few years ago.

Secondly. It was most likely a battery where the girl consented but felt bad afterwards( mum found out, has a boyfriend). The logical thing is to cry rape

but why are there so many stories? am really not being funny, seriously am not but dont 'we' as a black group like to hide and 'keep quiet' about things which are harmful for our community? after readin other posts i have thought twice but still, where are the truth boundaries and just because i think it was DRUNKMONEY who said he knew a couple of them personally, so what no offense but dont u think for a second they could of done it, (and of course they wont tell no one, would you if u done something horrid like that?), i just really think we have to as community step back and look at what the f*** is going on, i mean we have to wake up am sorry to sound so anti black but there are some real sh*tty black man outhere, be they are lawyers, footballers, plumbers etc like any other race. if we identify with the problem as a community, we can erase the problem as a community.

So if certain people continue to stereotype and make silly acusations then the fault is with them not the unfairly accused. The onus is on the accuser to prove it not the accsused to prove innocence.

maybe so, yr words startle me at a first glance, however i am not convinced in the slightest due to the hypocrisy that surrounds football, its just such a dangerous field to go into plus i believe that unless they come up with a damn good explanation then i feel they did it. am sorry if one of them is yr Friend, i really am.

Just going on what was posted, plus read that when she examined there was signs that she did not have sex willingly. If she is giving them a 'jacket' so to speak, it will come out.
In this day and age, having any type of celebrity status puts people in a position whereby they have to think about every move they make, every person they associate with, they are not free. There are a lot of greedy people out there who want to make quick cash. It is just not possible to go out there and pick someone up, doesn't matter whether they know them or not .
If a woman (or man) changes their mind about having sex and the other person continues, then it is without consent and technically rape. There have been cases where husbands have been charged with rape.
My main concern is that gang attacks on girls are on the increase and anyone with young female relatives has to be concerned about that.

This thing had been going on for ages in America, West Indies under British/Spanish/French colonialism, Brazil under portuguese colonialism, Africa under british and french imperialism respectively and elsewhere. all we can do is wait and see...
the faces of all the accused suprise*suprise were shown in the daily mail...
...I do not agree with people who have yet to be charged for a crime being photographed...
...I would like to hope that they are innocent...
...but once again...
...as a person the choices you make will always yield consequences negative or positive...
...I would query the judgement of the boys/ girl in question of running battery...(if this is what happened).

I honestly respect that the fact that you know one of them personally...
but one thing I have to say is that I have been suprised myself to discover things that people who I thought I knew well were capable of doing...
There is someone who I once believed that I knew extremely well, who turned out to be a rapist...

I have been a juror on a rape case...
trust me truth is stranger than fiction...
although it may ring alarm bells...
you would honestly be amazed by the things that some people will do when they are in fear...
also it is media and reading about the rape case I was on...was radically different to the information that was relayed in the newspaper...

The girl is 15, man... either way its wrong.
There were signs of forced sex too. So it's unsure either way...
I don't like the way pictures are plastered before a guilty verdict either, and i'm not going to condemn them for it before its proved
As for the "smiling for the cameras"... you're 15, you're being gang raped by a group of strong sportsmen, or any men for that matter, one has a cosh and shes told to smile or get done in. She'd smile. Being raped is one thing, but you do what you can to get through it alive. That's perfectly plausable.
Watch your little sistas and that. This kid wasn't dragged off the street - which doesn't put her at fault at all. As older and wiser we can guide them to be streetwise and safe - this footballer had status and shouldn't have been off with a kid anyway. He is definitely guilty of statutory rape in either way, cause he admitted having sex with her.
We shall see the results....

Well unsurprisingly Im with the majority on this one, its certainly a case of wait and see. I accept the victims age should be taken into account, but equally lets not try and make this out to be something more outrageous than it actually is. I have been to clubs where there were probably 14 years old at the venue, so lets stop becoming all high and mighty making out as if these footballers picked up the schoolgirl on her way back from bible class.
If they did it, throw the book at them. No questions. I dont know the colour of the victim. Frankly I couldnt care less. Lets not start pretending that there are no black rapists, so can we please stop the racial references during this discussion. The rapists can exist anywhere, whether they are at your local factory or the football club in your city. Status is not relevant in the sense that if they are guilty they should do the time. Simple as.
BUT....and its a massive big BUT, I have a general uneasy feeling about this case. As a few people have already pointed out, this is not the first time footballers have been accused of allegations of rape or assaulting young females, and in the vast majority of cases the proceedings have never materialised. In many cases the News of the World was contacted before the Police!
I know some people will say that this is a so-called 'no-name' footballer, but Im still not convinced that this should mitigate any guilt whatsoever. We all know actions through the civil courts are rife, and any criminal conviction would open the gates to actions for 'duress' and 'psychological damage'.
Make no mistake, whether he plays for a glamourous club like Chelsea, or forgotten club like QPR, the financial rewards will more than sway a few heads into cooking up a fantasy to make their dreams come true
Women will describe me as heartless, I mean not to appear as if I advocate abuse against women, any women for that matter. But I refuse to be dazzled by loud headlines when the reality is that we have already seen many of these cases prove to be fruitless. Innocent until proven guilty, and thats the same whether you're a dustman or a celebrity.

I agree - one thing though, there is a problem in this country getting a conviction with rape when it has been rape for good reason. You ARE innocent until proven guilty, and so often in such cases as this, where it isn't cut and dry, and it isn't a kid dragged into the back of a van, then it is too "close" to call. The governments "drop" in rape cases is quite feasibly down to the lack of reports and the difficulty and mental strain it takes out of someone who is already a victim to be victimised again by a prosecution. This doesn't vindicate the women who belittle and demean those who have suffered such a crime by crying rape and then making those who have suffered come under the same scrutiny they have created.
A verdict by a jury doesnt make an innocent man guilty and a guilty man innocent. I feel the age in this case does affect things, because a 15 yo girl isn't capable of the same level of decision making or assertion that a 25 year old woman is - but still, you're right, 15yos get off with 21yos every day of the week.
As i said before, lets wait and see.
Rape is evidence that race is irrelevant - the colour of a mans skin doesn't make him a racist, but a racist should be defined by that above all else. Just because he's black/white/half japanese... I don't care. It's heinous.
