On 2 January 1998, 15 year old African schoolgirl, Hannah Deterville, disappeared from her home in Paddington, West London. She was last seen at 7p.m.that evening leaving her home to visit a friend. Hannah, who was was studying for her GCSE exams at St Thomas More Catholic school in Chelsea, was wearing orange jeans, a grey bomber jacket and red Reebok trainers, and police believe she probably accepted a lift from someone she knew.
Her body was subsequently found in woodland on Horsenden Hill, Greenford, West London, three weeks later. She had been stabbed more than twenty times in the face and neck in what police described as a "ferocious attack".
To date, no-one has ever been convicted of her murder.
