i hope the people in this forum who like to continuously have a laugh on a serious subject realise that ......the new SHOOT TO KILL law will affect us , in fact we may be the prime suspects in connection to this new law and i see people making this as a joke !!!!!!!

I have read all the postings on this thread and from what i can gather i don't see anyone having a great big laugh about what is clearly a very, very, very serious situation. We are all fully aware of the implications of where this could lead.

If this guy turns out to have any involvment with any of these murders be it supplying bombs or planing any of these past murders, he deserves to die!! Is it better that he is dead than innocent men women and children die in the future??

has anyone noticed...................the events in Egypt has overgulfed that shooting of a man in stockwell
apparently the MET police had 1 MILLION complaints about conduct of the plain clothed officers..........................so i guess to get people *on track* they concentrated on Egypt hoping people will forget about the Rambo trigger happy police, or sas or whatever.

It's been comfirmed that he wasn't connected to any of the bombings.
Basically an innocent man got killed for no reasonn, doubtless an innocent Muslim man at that. More fuel to add the fire, more ammo to be used to recruit potential bombers.

Just seen this on the wires (BBC website) no details as yet..but it NOW appears that the man shot yesterday had no connection to the Terror enquiry... So why was he shot and who was he?
This is what i mean by reactionary thinking... all those people who THOUGHT this shooting was a GOOD idea then I tell you now.. If this report is true this is the WORSE thing the police could have done..

It wasn't police... It was special forces. You should have seen the guy this morning. Mafdet watched it too I think...
He was explaining that if it were police then different phraseology would have been used with the media and they would have been more forthcoming. Also commisioner would have said XYZ which he didnt.
He said it was special forces heading this up and they have powers which mean that the body will simply say "justifiable death" no matter what and no explaination will be given...
all this and they are legally within their rights.
Translation: They can kill you and don't have to explain why.

Some were saying its not police but now some are saying if it wasn't police then why did the met give an apology for an innocent man that was killed.

Look how quick they were able to get dental records dna etc for victims of the bombing on 7th July but yet they say they still can't identify this man that was killed that is absolute bollocks.
5 shots to the head and he was pinned down. A ex police commander said on the news that if he was pinned down by so many then how would he manage to set the bomb off if he did indeed have a bomb also he can't understand why they shot him 5 five times.
Let me tell you those thugs were on a high adranaline (spelling) when they shot this man
Shot Number 1 was for = you are a suspect I think you have a bomb I don't know for sure, you all look the same to me but I have to take you out.
Shot number 2 was for = why did you bomb london you f***** ******
Shot number 3 was for = how dare you cause disrruption to london you mother F*****

The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) who represnt most of the the police forces in the UK (except for Scotland), have published a long shopping list of extra new legal powers, many of which are extremely controversial and probably counterproductive.
The "consensus in principle" by the Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrat politicians must not grant all this shopping list of powers to the police and security agencies - if they do so, the terrorists will have won another victory.

I mentioned on another thread that I've had my bag searched twice since 7/7 but white people carrying ruck sacks seem to travel unhindered. With these new proposed powers we're well and trully f***ed!!! If you refuse to open your bag expect to be dragged off to the nearest cop shop.

My point is if it were the police then at least there are ways and methods of finding out what happened (yes I know unreliable) but they are there. Police are answerable for what they do.
If it were special forces or the army then we are walking targets and they don't have to say anything or tell anybody why. There is nothing you can do.

Mafdet: It was obvious from the moment this story broke that something about this shooting just didn't add up... you really didn't need to be Einstein to figure that out.. In fact I now suspect that they KNEW they f**ked up.. Remember how the story quickly shifted from the man at Stockwell to the pictures of the four most wanted on CCTV..
then we had the spin about why you would shoot someone in the head with references to Isreali tactics.. crap about low calibre bullets and gun so more bullets needed..but no one explained how a man could survive more than two bullets in the head at close range..
Notice how they were damned quiet about why this man was shot, and when they spoke it was obvious it was bullsh*t.. remember they said they were WATCHING an address in Stockwell.. If that were the case, why would you follow a man with a BOMB on him, why would you allow him mingle with the general populace? Worse they CHASED him into the tube, the HELD him down , remember now held down a man wearing a bomb and shot him 5 times in the head..
sometime I wonder about this country i really do..

Whats the deal? Are you an idiot, or just slow? The police have said that this was an innocent man and they made a mistake. Do you think that police make statements like this lightly when they havce f**ked up? They would have attempted to pin anything on him to justify their action - if they have admitted their mistake that means that this man was completely innocent so why should we wait for 'what comes out first' duh!

I couldn't agree with you more like others have pointed out the story changed considerably throughtout the day which is a clear sign that a major mess up has just occured. I caught the news as soon as the shooting happened and you know something is wrong when 5 SHOTS TO THE HEAD IN BROAD DAYLIGHT AMONGST INNONCENT BYSTANDERS.

It its one place you will not get the truth of the matter is the news.
If he had a trigger to fire off an explosive then light him up with copper and lead I say. But with all their marksman and surveliiance capablitilities what changed in their mind from approaching him to pull him up/ to firing 5 bullets into him. Five bullets?? Maybe it was close range to not risk ricochet but one bullet at close range in the chest will kill anybody.
Howver if he is innocent then we (the public are in for a dodgy summer). Not only from future bombs but from the state itself. Non white citizens especially from the state.

LONDON (Reuters) - Police acknowledged on Saturday the man they shot dead on Friday was not connected to bomb attacks on London the previous day, calling the shooting tragic and regrettable.
"We are now satisfied that he was not connected with the incidents of Thursday 21st July 2005," police said in a statement.
"For somebody to lose their life in such circumstances is a tragedy and one that the Metropolitan Police Service regrets," the police said.
Police hunting four men who tried to bomb London's transport system on Thursday -- two weeks after suicide bombers killed 52 commuters -- shot dead the man who had been under surveillance and refused orders to halt.
The killing at point-blank range with five shots to the head in front of shocked passengers on a packed underground train triggered speculation that traditionally unarmed police had radically changed their iron-fist-in-velvet-glove approach.
"The man emerged from a block of flats in the Stockwell area that were under police surveillance as part of the investigation into the incidents on Thursday 21st July.
"He was then followed by surveillance officers to the underground station. His clothing and behaviour added to their suspicions," the statement said.
It added that the circumstances that led to the man's death were being investigated.

By the time they finish with all their lies and trying to fool the public the story will end up as the dead man was the one chasing 20 plain clothes officers with a gun he tripped and the gun he had in his hand went off and he accidently shot himself 5 times in the head or another one they may come up with is he was indeed a sucide bomber he didn't have a bomb so he killed himself 5 TIMES with his gun in order to commit sucide.
