heyyyyyyy folks I was woundering if anyone could help me I am in the process of buying a MP3 player.

I was orignialy going to go for an Ipod but to be honest since Ipods have come out I have been speaking to ipod owners and many of them agree that ipod is not the best Mp3 player on the market, In fact many of them tell me if they were to buy again they would not buy an ipod because of the fact you can only get your music from Itunes the battery life etc.

I have been looking at some equivalents one in particular is IRIVER H-120 good thing about this I hear is you can get your MP3s from anywhere and unlike IPOD you dont need to rely on just Itunes.

It's funny as too often with online shopping I started out looking for just an MP3 then when I got looking I somehow managed to convince myself I need  somthing more than just a player lolconfused2 take a look at this beauty.

anyhow if anyone has a IRIVER H-120 please give me tha low-down on it's features

I bought a cheap basic player from ebay - it's great has player and radio and holds loads of tumes.  Not bad for £20 ....  Untill my best friend rolled up with her IRiver!  They are fantastic.  I'm normally allergic to technology but I want one soooo bad.  I'll speak to her later and find out what it does and post it on here.

There are some fab ones with cameras etc at the moment.  Most places will price beat too so shop around.

Glad U haven't fallen for that i-pod nonsense.....Anyway, there are MP3 players everywhere, the quality's imporved so much you really can't go wrong unless U R paying 120.00 & upwards for a player ...ignore the Sony player, consider I-river ..

Incidentally, I was at the computer fair in stratford (London)...There are loads of MP3 players there from £75.00 for a 1 gig device

Speaking of the sony player - I got the net walkman for my birthday last year.  It looks amazing but I never got to use it because of the rubbish software.  The sonic stage stuff that it uses "protects intellectual property"  or something along those lines.  Basically you cannot transfer the same song between your PC and the player more than three times.  The only way to get around this is to burn a new cd.  The software also upset my poor computer - It froze every five minutes and basically just made a big mess.  I've still got it on my desk right now destined for ebay!

1 Gig will not hold a thousand tracks. Each Mp3 file is probably around 4-5mb meg. So its more like 200-250 tracks.

I would say aim for 15gig,

My ipod is 15 gig and I have had it for more than a year, yet I have only manage to use about 5 gig, which is about 2-3000 songs.

Although I have over 50 gig of songs of me, still u'll find out that u wont use them,

Alll I mainly do is create a playlist and rotate between them depending on my mood on the day.....
