you have to clear the whole system again if you cant find the original cd recovery disk , or oder a new one if you got a warranty i think the same thing happened to me some time ago my promblem was that other ppls recovery disk did not work on my ltp. whats your pc make.

I'm not sure if a system restore will help you out, but if you have lost the cd, I don't see any other way of getting it to work.
