Does anyone know of any program I can download that will enable me to edit music on my mobile? Some tunes will sound wicked as ringtones but I want to be able to cut out the intros and format.

Thanks

I don't know of a free one but I used audiocleaner to manage MP3s.  Initially I bought it because it converted all my magnetic tape and vinyls to MP3 format and cleaned up the hissing noise and crackle effects.  But then I found you can splice and merge existing MP3s with it and yeah like you I used it to cut out intros or outros.  Or even to make melledys of several tunes into a ringtone :)

It's easy to use and not that expensive.

Try:

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

It's a free music editor which you can edit on your PC. I haven't heard of one where you can edit on your mobile.

Your mobile manufacturer may also have software that you can use to edit music, so you might start with an mp3 which then gets converted into a format your mobile can read - some will read mp3s, some won't. If you got a CD with your mobile, the software will most likely be on there.

Decent versions of Nero include a music editor which you can use to splice files together or edit to cut out intros and so on.

I tried that Audacity one but I couldn't make head or tail of it.

I've downloaded and application from create-ringtone.com and it's very easy and straightforward. It's only on free trial unfortunately but I'm sure there's a free permanent one to download.

You shouldn't need a program for your phone, its a music editing software program you need... you should be able to use a tune as your ringtone after putting it onto the phone, unless errikson have messed that one up somehow.

Get the tune, edit it, put it back onto your comp as what ever file and transfer it onto your mobile. If you can't do that with an errikson they're wack.

Peace

A

That's exactly what this thread is about bruv. Even if there was a program to use on my phone it would be a long ting anyway.

Ericssons are the best phones on the market btw.

Sony (and erikkson) gained whack status when they mixed it up and dropped the Clie range...

I mean do you make gaming consoles, phones or music hardware confused3

http://www.pcpro.co.uk/news/69755/sony-drops-clie-pda-in-japan.html

looks like they got plasticy and aimed at a diffrent market...

This is nice though can see where the clie went...

Can't surf the net on it though.

Might get this...

Otherwise Sony Erikkson fell off man... sorry.

*Pats P.Hakeem on the back*

:)

If you want a music editting program I think you can stream fruitloops... best site for free stuff is...

Or you can just get a PDA with a gig of space on it and record a track straight onto it, you know when Sony decide to make a PDA again in the next millenium! We'll all probably have these in our pockets by then...
