anyone got one yet? and what do you think of em?.. im toying with the idea of getting a few.. 1 for canada 1 for the west indies and of course 1 for myself..
I know TESCO cant be the only ones who do this...any body clued up with the whole net fone scene...

VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) has been around for a while now....Tesco are looking to develop the mass market, which none of the providers (even BT) have yet. To get the best value from it (regardless of provider), you have to call other VoIP users (calls are free this way), though there is also usually some saving on landline calls. Calling a mobile from a VoIP phone is very, very expensive....and calling a VoIP line (if you can) from a landline is like calling a mobile price-wise....
From the looks of the deal, it's nothing special compared to what else is available.....Skype has better software (including video), and the call-out rates to landlines are mostly cheaper than those offered by Tesco......the phone they're supplying is also pretty basic kit and is not cordless, though you can buy cordless USB phones......
If you don't mind shopping around and trying out different stuff, there are better packages available than Tesco, and Skype is hard to beat even though it's restrictive in some ways.....if convenience is more important, then go for Tesco.

it seemed interesting but if it simply does what the mic on your webcam does than no better off
but i wonder how free are the calls you need a highspeed connection no doubt

| My VoIP service is pretty messed up... Vonage are crap. Don't go for Tescos, BT provide a better service go with their VoIP serivce.
