Greeting everyone
Im seriously looking into creating a professional looking website for my business (it will be wholly internet based) I have researched my business idea and have some savings to start it up as soon as possible. Here is the crunch - i have no idea how to go about creating a website! i have read on it but i get so confused with all the jargon and whatnots. Here are my questions
1) Who do i approach to design and add continant to my site
2) what do i need to safe guard my business (ie -copy right?)
3) where do i find a web designer?
4) Will they be responsible for everything? ie - setting up paypal, search engine, etc
5) How much will it cost?
7) Any other recommendations?
8) Last but not least, since my business will be internet based (selling ladies stuff) What 'Business' Address/Telephone number should i be giving my customers? Home?????I scarrrrd of this! any suggestions?
I feel a bit of a fool since i should know some of the answers to these questions but i really am lost and need some help. I have succesfully been selling on Ebay for over 3 years but im desperate to branch out and do it myself on the web! Im so excited about it that im having sleepless nites! i know it will be a success as long as i do things properly and no short cuts.
Any help is warmly appreciated and i look forward to checking all your inputs.
Thanks v much

Hey, I could answer some of your questions
1) Who do i approach to design and add continant to my site
The web designer
3) where do i find a web designer?
Here on Blacknet, people like Blackthought and some others. You could also find on Google, but it would be nice if you patronise your brothers and sisters here first , and they will charge you less.
4) Will they be responsible for everything? ie - setting up paypal, search engine, etc
You need to agree on that with whoever you talking to
5) How much will it cost?
It depends, same answer as no4. It depends on how many pages, some other things like what type of web Host you using, even domain name ie .com, .co.ukor .net etc. But you would be looking at a few 100 quids. Rough ideal £300 -500. Lol
8) Last but not least, since my business will be internet based (selling ladies stuff) What 'Business' Address/Telephone number should i be giving my customers? Home?????I scarrrrd of this! any suggestions?
You can strictly be internet based, but if you selling thing to me ie an african, I may sometimes ask you if I could come and pick it up, but you can be strictly internet based and all transactions are done online and by post. You could also get yourself a same shop or office where you meet people if you wanna meet some of them. Finally, you could have a 0870 or 0845 number for your business which may even be at your home, but at least you know it is for business purposes only.
Hope I have been able to help a little bit, you asked 8 questions and I answered 8...... well you missed no 6 and i missed some as well

Thank you so much for replying. Really useful info. I would be more than happy to use someone on Blacknet who is up to the job. I will PM BThought to see what he says. So do i get in touch with BT for the 0845 Number? Again grateful for your input.
