Is there a way in Word 2000 to view documents on top of each other? To explain, I once loaded up two documents. I put one in full size view and with the other on top, I dragged it down in size to fit a corner of the larger document underneath, (I was trying to use the top one as a guide). However the top document kept disappearing as soon as I typed on the bottom sheet. Is there a way to get them to stay up simultaneously?

| What works for me is to tile the windows horizontally - one using the top half of the screen, the other the bottom half. You can view at least a paragraph at a time in each document, and switching between them doesn't cause either to disappear. Don't know if that helps....

lol @ Backatya! It's all about my work B. Besides your way is long! And it would make things harder, how are you going to edit etc?
Soulrebel - Yeah I know your way or I could line them up vertically, but I really wanted a way to keep one of them on top of the other as it would be easier to work that way - well it would be if the one on top stayed in it's place!

| Get yourself a wide screen monitor, my new laptop is wide screen and has this great feature where you can do this with any open window.. basically you can set the window, one to lock to the top of the screen and the other one below.. or you can do by putting them side by side.. more like backatya method, only difference will be, that both of them are on one screen.

Why did I only just see this?
Anyway, I think my screen is wide - 17" but by the sounds of it your way is how it's done it now. What I want is for one document to stay on top of the other.

Is it a programming thing?
