| I recently was the recipient of a bloodhound virus inwhich I finally fixed through MaCafee. My screen is still showing off colors from the virus. I am also having trouble viewing any type of video since the virus kicked in. Does anyone have advice on how to correct my screen? I want to be able to watch videos like I used to but now, I only get a bunch of glob.....Thanks in advance

Dang Kicko!
When ever I've caught the bugs I just erased my hard drive and re-installed everything. You get a computer free of clutter, trojan viruses and other useless junk. If you hold your PC dear to you you can go to your monitor manufacturers website and download the Device drivers. I'd rather erase everything and start fresh. Why are you using Win 2000? Do you have a broadband connection? try Linux!

If you have very important stuffs on your computer, you won't just erase it like that everytime. That would mean when you are affected by virus, you always need to restart your life again, what is the point then?
The point of having anti virus and firewall is not only to proctect your pc, but to save you the hassle of trying to reinstall everytime. If the whole world were like that, then the future of Computing is bleak

| True but I back up all of my information on CD-Rom and I own the programs so that I can reinstall them at will. Binary code isn't secure, it becomes permanently corrupted, falls apart ect. I was an A+ Technician for a bit and as a practice I do a Clean install once a year to keep my system fresh! Firewalls and anti-virus programs may remove the virus but they cannot undo the damage!
