When you see new words on the web, go to http://www.google.com or http://www.dictionary.com type it in and see what you get back. The great thing about the web is that it lets you research these things for yourself.

well..I didnt know much about blogging until that guy SALAM PAX(the baghdad blogger) came into being ..you know back in time when Bush and Blair were insisting on presence of WMD in Iraq while Hans Blix had their own theiry on the other hand at the same time ISG also came up with their own theory...u know it was the time when that song WHERE IS THE LOVE WAS A HIT and not Bob Dylan's MASTERS OF WAR..times when COLIN POWEL was cool with his POWER POINT special effects at UN while Iraq's Information minister Muhammed al-Sahaf was the one man show in Baghdad but majority of the media outside Iraq were hooked up with SALAM PAX..and after sadam fell he wrote a book which went on to be a best seller.
Now every one is blogging ..heard that people who nearly brought down DanRather @CBS with those BUSH military records were infact Bloggers,now I wanna know are they really that ruthless with information and if so do u think they are better sourced than the current media?
Are there any black bloggers around?..I could have gone to ask google but then I thought it would be better if I asked the village.

Just do a google for "free blog", probably hundreds will show up. Them probably won't be to great or feature filled if they are free.
If you want anything more advanced you will either need to get some web hosting or run your own server (not as complex as it sounds)

i checked out the site and it seems so simple. i am gonna set up my own blog soon to record my hair journey aswell as things that interest me. just wanted to ask do you think blogger.com is the best site. i have also been refered to bravenet.com. what do you reckon and do you have any tips. i am a complete blogger newbie well soon almost

I think its a great way to start up, then when you get your own website, you can inculde your blog in it and continue with it. I find that websites with personal blogs are always great to re-visit on a regular basis as you always have new updates to read!
Bravenet.com is good but they have storage limits, unless you start to pay... so it put me off. Atleast with blogger.com, its easy, totally free and you can add pictures, websites, links etc. You can also make several blogs in your account, so for example, you can have one for your hair diary then another for your poetry or whatever else you want to share.
Its also important to remember that blogs and personal websites are not private -anyone can log on and read it, so be sure to only put out what you know you don't mind sharing. Someone once told me: Don't put anything on the internet unless you are ok with telling any stranger in real life. That might include photos of family, yourself and others, or personal details on your life.
Just my thoughts.

By the way, the blog service I use if free. It's an okay service to use and it doesn't have forced banners at the top of the page. It also allows advertising if you ever get to a point where you decide to sell ad space.
