Serena Williams seems to be very desperate in order to get some attention.

I think she wants to be a Playboy model or maybe a pornstar, but she's definitely not all that.

Her dream is to be a "Bond girl" so that could be the reason why she likes to show her NIPPLES, Do you guys think Mr Brosnan will cast her as the "Next Bond girl"?

To be honest with you guys I think she looks like a DRAGQUEEN:

Is she desperate or a fashion queen??

I personally think she's both!!  I guess everyone has to remember that Serena and Venus were not deemed the most attractive women...taunted about being nappy-headed and all.  She is still young and this is her way to show all of these people that made fun of her what she has now and what they missed out on!!  I don't personally think that she should be flaunting it like this, but at the same time when you have predecesors like Toni Braxton, Traci Bingham, and Halle Berry baring it all to get attention, why should anyone freak out about her wearing such a revealing dress.  I mean think about it...in Monster's Ball, Halle Berry got rewarded with an Oscar for soft-core porn by literally having a raunchy sex scene with Billy Bob 'Racist' Thorton!!  Then she turns around and dedicates it to all black women!!!  Oh please!!  Any way, I am proud of Serena and Venus, they are doing great and they are the most positive 'young black women' out there right now and let's not have wearing a revealing gown be a target to bring down their careers!!!  Remember they did say they wanted to pursue a fashion career!!

That's my piece!!

@CeeJay

Positive role model for 'young "black" women'...?

Surely you jest...?

 ***Shakes head***

What is blatantly obvious... especially with SW... with the blond wig... and a marked preference for "white" dick... she is one of those totally repellent... brain-damaged trolls...

...Stinky... Midori129... faery1...

Absolute morons... to which we can cast that rahtid wretch... Serena Williams...

An individual ho has not been raised... or educated in the strength and belief of neither their culture... or their African ancestry...

Hmmmmmmmm...?

 ***Scratches head

Let's see how many people want to jump on my case...

But it's simple... those we hold up and promote... should reflect who we are and what we desire...

 Those who don't...

 ***Shrugs shoulders***

Do not simply... exist... they become unreal... without the backup and strength that comes from being a part of a community...

Serena Williams...? Wouldn't take my dick out to piss on her...

 *S*

...Though may take it out and slap her right in the chops with it...

@All

Okay... no p.iss-taking this time...

 ***Shakes head***

What kind of 'ooman would be so disrespectful to have her tits and nipples hanging out all over the place on public display...?

How much love does she have for her family... and any potential distress that this may cause them when Granny Winifred catches sight of her favour grand-daughter with her breasts hanging out... and has a stroke...?

As a male and a father... I can tell you... no matter how much I love look pu de flesh ah 'ooman...

...I...

...DO NOT...!!!

...Want to open some smutty magazine and she my daughters beasts hanging out... or hear people laughing... admiring them on the tube or bus...

...Or even have Uncle Cedric ring and say...

"...Charlie...? How cum mi ah see yah daughter breast inna newspaper...?"

...No f***King pride...

...No f***King shame...

Brain damaged little "black" girl with no confidence in herself or her sexuality... who is so insecure that she tries too hard...

If she was a proustitute... glamour model... or porn-star... a simple occupation/financial transaction... then I wouldn't have a major problem with it... the odds are... granny... pops... and Uncle Cedric... wouldn't be reading dem kinda tings...

...A classic case of LKS...

...Li'l Kim Syndrone...

And oh... by the way...

Might as well add... the breasts do not look particular good... especially for someone of her age... and athleticism...

...Way... way... tooo saggy...

Might as well have a couple of cotton balls in a pair of socks...

I can't say that I'm surprised that a man would make such responses, then turn around and make a comment note that her breast are saggy...any chance to discredit the black woman!!  Furthermore, the topic is whether she is 'desperate' or a 'fashion queen' not how perky her breasts are!!  Funny that you attack her wearing a blonde wig and all, put it this way...Marilyn Manson's girlfriend shows up to an awards show wearing a thong it's deemed daring and enchanting, Twiggy wears braids it's a fashion statement, P!nk has a b-girl stance and she is deemed edgy and in your face, but Serena wears this dress and is scandalous...clearly a 'black and white' issue here.  She is not a slut or anything crude that you seem to mention that she is 'cause she is baring her breasts under revealing clothing...why should that be a focal point?  Judging by your immature d**k comment about slapping her with it, and despite the fact that you mention you are a father you still have a bit of growing to do yourself.  Remember that she is of age now, an adult and whether or not a family member of her's asked not to wear the dress they can't stop her from putting it on....this is a person who makes millions of dollars a years, why can't she express herself?  You think anyone could have told you not to have your child?  You made that choice and no one could have told you otherwise...it was beyond anyone's control except for your child's mother!!!

Sadly enough, although I don't want to say it, but the 'crabs in a bucket' theory is universal...why can't we just see the good that she does for her community and go with it instead of making her an ogre based on what she wears!!!  I guess I was actually naive to think that the black community in the UK were a little more open-mined and less judgemental...confused3

Nope. She is a victim of White feminist movement like countless educated black female professionals in our community. The copycatting needs to stop. Its a nightmare when our women are looking like white women. Whats next? Sex change operation?

Let's get real; this ain't no 'crabs in a bucket' syndrome. Serena Williams want so act, and more than that she wants to be a 'movie star', with all the luster and her name atop a glossy poster etc. Thing is, she doesn't really conform to any ideal, or archetype, I mean I can't say I'd want to watch her on screen.

She's like Diana Ross, Naomi Campbell, y'know the type of woman than has a 'for white consumption' type of vibe about her. If you want to act, act, but don’t try so hard to insinuate yourself with people.

I suspect that's why she's with Brett Ratner (who I quite like). She probably thought he'd cast her as some movie of his (if he hasn't).

I don't think she looks that good there though.

This is quite funny.

I agree with ijexa

How can you leave the house/5*hotel looking like that?

This is what I was trying to say in another thread. Sometimes these celebs go too far with their outfits and they don't need to. I repeat they don't need to. Also just because a celeb is beautiful it doesn't automatically excuse them from criticism and if you do criticise them it doesn't mean you are "hating".

I'm glad the male posters have said they don't like serena's see-through dress.

How can you dress like that when you have parents, family, that are going to see you looking like that.

yes men love to see a woman show a little skin. But there are ways to go about it, this is not the way.

Imagine if that was your daughter/sister? exactly, cover up. That outfit is not working on serena neither is the hair. Hopefully she'll learn one day.

I think what she’s got on is downright tacky.  She is a talented girl who already commands the world’s attention with her talent.

If she wants to change her career and is looking for a different type of attention then a subtle hint would have attracted more positive attention to her than this blatant peepshow

@Sista girl I agree with you everything on her screams help… unfortunately many random girls look up to her and will pick up on her styles and wear next to nothing…

Showing some skin is one thing but when your boobs is riding on the rims of your see through tank top....

To make matters even worse I have seen big ladies who wear those type of tops and then low-cut underwear with a candy pink J-Lo velour jogging pants **Shakes Head** which makes their ass look like its being asphyxiated under a velour quilt.

I think you need to look at the whole picture sometimes and not just the event.

I agree it s tacky and i have never felt ANY hairstyle she has had, but i think this is what suppression brings.

She has a nice face, but growing up she was not the best looker, and their father comes across as a strict type that made them just train train train. She most probably did not get to do the same things as everyone else, maybe has self esteem issues (like most people). So after a LIFE of playing tennis maybe she has come to an age where she is just brocking out. Maybe at her age and inexperience this is her idea of sexy, or what she needs to appear sexy.

Her talents/ achievements alone should be able to command the respect she is looking for, but maybe she'll learn that later. I am sure everyone has looked back at some pictures and thought "oh my God, what was i thinking" even if you did not have your nipples out, but that is how it goes sometimes.

I dont think it is fair to say that just because she 'appears' as she does that she has not grown up knowing her culture, who are we to know?? Some people are, but still rebel or believe that it would not have any relation to how they dress / present themselves. This is another thing time and experiences can change.

I dont think a bad phase of dress should be reflected on your achievements. Achievements will be remembered longer. And like most people that dress provocatively, it is most probably just to cover up something else.

I have to agree with some of the points raised here. Seerena Williams in my eyes is a fine black woman, she may not fit into the sterotypye of what a black woman is expected to be, such as keeper of the black woman's flame, heaven forbid, she may just want to express herself. I recall when these two fine sisters, first graced the tennis world, there was so much racisim afforded towards them, it was unbelievable, forgetting the fact that they had talent, came from humble beginings, trained by their father, who taught himself. This was not how what  the tennis world was accustomed too, they took them completely by surprise. However, rather than embrace their talents, no they had to comment on their hair being in beads, made comments on their style of dressing, commented on their family, i mean they had to, because the bottom line was they were just too damn good for the other regular tennis players. They reigned the Tennis circuit for a number of years, completley changed the face of tennis, whether they choose to admit this another thing. In addition, they proved to the rest of the world that they had what it took, through sheer hard work to reign supreme. They may not be at the top of the game at this present time, however they have earned their dues, and they will surely be back.

IF Sereena wants to express her sexuality, in this way then good for her, she is not a disgrace to black people or to black women, or to women in general, she knows where she is from, is not desperate in any shape or form. She is confident, assertive and has self belief and wants to express this. Sometimes, as black people we should not always feel we should be this keeper of the black flame, always wanting to uphold what we feel is right by European standards. Why should our acts always be measured by European standards. We are unique individuals with our  own standards and norms. That means being able to express ourselves. Showing a bit of cleaveage is not the end of the world. If she wants to be a James Bond girl, then good for her. She beats Haille, shagging Billy Bob Thornton any day. I don't care how attractive she may be. But that's what Hollywood required to earn her, an oscar.

Much love and respet to Sereena and Venus!:dude:

She's made a complete mess of herself. Her penchant for white d**k doesnt exactly endear her to a brother either.

And how pray, did you come to this conclusion? because she poses with two white men, or has posed with white men, she has in your opinion has a penchant for white Dick, and that is your educated summation?, i really don't mean to be rude, but that remark is so insulting, care to explain yourself? 'Brother'.

Even if you're not interested in 'celebrity' gossip, it's common knowledge that she's paired off with Brett Ratner.

I'm not being 'deliberately slow', i'm merely refering to a remark, i felt was insulting. Whether Sereena has chosen to pair of with this man, who i assume is white, there was no need (In my opinion) for such remarks, ie. penchant for white dick! You have the right to agree with this, i however do not. That simple.

@ Ijexia

All said already and done.

Good !

The thing is where is she going with it.  I think there are extremes of fashion that have you bordering on other things.  Exposing your breasts is not fashionable, peroiod.  As soon as you expose your breast like that you have stepped out of the definition of 'fashion' and are in the territory of 'issues' (in this particular case as Ijexia said, Lil' Kim Syndrome).

If something is fashionable, I'm not supposed to be repulsed by it am I ?  Jesus !  You know what ?  Knowing myself, thinking if I was a woman, I would have to be on some serious hard drugs or be going through some heavy issues in life to expose my nipples to the whole world.  Sex is a powerful tool and I must be desperate or laking in something so employ such a powerful tool.  'Desperate times call for desperate measures' ???.

The thing is if I was there at what ever event Serena was at I would be so embarassed to see Serena dress in that way.  God, imagine if I went out with my mum to this event and we saw Serena like this.  I wouldn't know what to do.  It's just one of those things.  It would feel as though my mum was naked and everyone could see her too.  I would feel offended as though I was stripped naked too and all was laid bare for everyone to see.  As if my mother's breasts where their for everyone to see and for everyone to gawk at.  Why because that is my black woman, my mother, my daughter, as Ijexia pointed out.  I don't want my mother's/daughters jewels to be out there for them to see and conceive all kinds of ideas and thoughts of black women.

Why can't she style her hair in a different way so that it doesn't seem as if it's begging white peoples hair. It just seems extreme to me.  Extremely far from her natural African hair. The pictures are a real turn off because I can't relate to a woman who doesn't have my hair and is exposing herself like that.  How does her appearance and all the subtle/subconscious and profound messages she is sending out benefit us/Africa ??

Another black person lost.  Lost and gone.  We lay ourselves bare so we are taken advantage of, robbed, and allow our essence to be ground away at.  Things happen under our feet and we allow it. Too compassionate.  It feels like my mother, my woman is being rapped.

The statements from her choice of appearance are causing me to have very informative conversations with myself.  What conscious African woman would appear like that ?  How can any good woman do that ?  If I knew my mother did something like that it would leave me with some deep psychological scares for life.

'A black and white thing' ?  Yes, damn right!  Our people in the West need to wake up.  We are a minority in the West and therefore I think we should be careful on how we are perceived.  You'll get all the interest from whites who know nothing of the reality of being black but when you do something like what she's done it hits you at home hard because that there is your daughter/mother etc. representing you as a minority, as you sit there watching the TV, whatever.

On a note, I don't take seriously our people in the media because the reality is what I see with my own eyes on the streets, with the people I know, the conversations I have.  They are usually out for themselves and so it has nothing to do with us - whether you're a rapper looking out for yourself and money while degrading our women and doing nothing for us lyrically, or you're playing your integrationalist role, I aint with you.

Such an ignorant response, however judging by your previous responses i'm not at all surprised. So because i have the audacity to disagree with you, you have come to the conclusion, i love white dick, you have a lot to learn brother!!! a lot to learn!!! especially when it comes to topical debates.

peace on out.

@All

Serena looks tacky and trashy and should be totally ashamed of herself. Plus I expect that dress was made for some double A pigeon chest white bird so that the thick part of the material would cover the nipple and the seethrough part was to be just below it.  Serena did the dress no justice as so the dress did her. No matter how hard she tries Pierce Bronson would rather see someone like Halle Berry in such a dress than Serena. Most of the black celebrities are beginning to look tackier and tackier each day.   Saw singer Monica on a interview and nearly died when she said having blond hair is much more enjoyable for her..........I will be the first to support a rally that said chemicals in hair dressers eventually effect the brain cells.niceone.gif

Is there documented proof of this. This could change the very fabric of our existance. think about it.. no more African Hair/Comestic shops with mountains of horse hair round a back..proud African queens stridng forth in their natural god given beauty..big fat cats of the chemical relaxing industry.. having to eke out an existance shoving coals or something..factories of African workers making Afro combs..seriously though the ramifications are endless....

The man/woman who has done such a study will be a great hero to the race. I wonder if there is truth in that throw away statement..

The beauty of Serena is that she doesn't give sh*t what you think of her...As a person of persecution related to race, why would YOU pass judgement on anyone?

Keep your house inorder and be damned with the frivilous...

And like most people that dress provocatively, it is most probably just to cover up something else.

this is my 1st time posting up here ever....one of my friends showed me this particular thread....but just wanted to say that of everyone's response to the topic, i agree with this person (IYALLAH)'s point of view about the situation comPLETEly...

i agree with it ALL....EXCELLENT way of putting it, IYALLAH....

@CeeJay

Hee! Hee! Hee!

Like I said... first "...Stinky... Midori129... faery1..." then Serena... and now we have...  ...YOU...!!!

 *S*

Hmmmmmmm...?

Perhaps I ought to slap YOU in the chops as well...

 *S*

And now you're championing saggy tits...

...LOL...

Lemme guess...? Are your breasts also extremely droopy and saggy...

 *S*

Perhaps I could even swing upon them like a latter day Tarzan...

"...Aaaarrrhhh... Ah ah... Ah aaaah...

...Me... Tarzan... You... Saggy Tits..."

"...I can't say that I'm surprised that a man would make such responses, then turn around and make a comment note that her breast are saggy...any chance to discredit the black woman..."

But what an amazingly dysfunctional leap in logic...

 ***Shakes head***

I criticise her hopelessly saggy and out of shape breasts... which... if she had any decency... she would keep well hidden... and suddenly you're trying to say that I'm taking any... and every chance to discredit a "black" woman...

Hmmmmmm...?

Well hello... this wretch discredited herself...exposing herself at a social function... and who the f***K is Marilyn Manson... and what the f***K has Pink got to do with an African male... or are you trying to imply that I would accept uncritically what "white" women wear...

Well dearie... wrong do not like "white" women... neither do I fantacise about "white" celebrities... since they have not even the remotest connection to me or mine...

Furthermore as regards the comments about the good that she has done for her community... one could perhaps say the same about Michael "This one's split" Jackson... or R. "Let me urinate on your daughter" Kelly...

Sure...

 *S*

...You'd let MJ look after your young son... Sure you let your young daughter spend time unchaperoned with R. Kelly... on the basis of all the "good" work they've done for their "community"...

And as for your rather pathetic statements about Africans within the UKnot being open-minded... let me remind you that it is almost universally illegal for someone to expose themselves in a sexual manner in public... period... and that is what she has done.... and that is what you are pathetically attempting to excuse... and if we extend your logic... it would be okay for someone like Danny Glover to walk around with his meat and two veg hanging out... all in the name of fashion...

 ***Shakes head***

...MORON...!!!

No doubt... if he did... you would hold him up as a example for young "black" males to aspire to...

...IDIOT...!!!

That's how head-f***Ked some of you morons are... you live in the belly of the beast... absorbing the culture of mental confusion and inferiority and of sexual exploitation... and you glory in it... trying to display it as a positive attribute for our children... as an expression of open-mindedness fairness...

...What a load of brain-damaged tossers you lot are...

 ***Shakes head***

Who quite frankly... should be sterilised at birth... because no doubt you'd be encouraging your children to aspire to new depths of cultural... psychological and sexual depravity... as if our history isn't littered with enough examples of our exploitation... in fact... people like you would create a veritable holocaust of biblical proportions with us a permanent victims and slaves...

@IYALLAH @PoeticalReign

 ***Shakes head***

Absolutely no excuses... for her behaviour... she's old enough...

A beast bearing... "white" d.ick loving... blonde hair wearing... "white" wannabe...  trollop...

And then people want to come and say that she's a good role model for young "black" women...

 ***Shakes head***

As said previously... exposing oneself in a sexual manner in public is generally to be illegal... and nothing excuses such behaviour...

Being "black"... male or female... does NOT automatically entitle you to NOTHING...

Now bear in mind that this troll lives in a country where African women historically were ruthlessly and brutally exploited by "white" men for most of it's history... and with the general trend of overt sexualisation of both African men and women... what is it that she aspires to...

...Opening her legs to receive nuff "white" d.cik... and portraying a stereotypical image that direct feeds on and into the "white" driven slave derived image of African women as objects for "white" sexual gratfication...

@All

 *S*

Look forward to your well-thought out replies...

See ya...

Ijexa
