Black people can be naturally stockier than our white counterparts but that could be down to your own family genetics and our diets. We are shaped different and carry our weight differently.
Sometimes you have to take into account that some people have slower a mettabolism than others, so even if they have the same food intake but they burn less.
Obesity is not a size 16 or 18, we're talking 26+. It is normally a psychological / habitual problems that causes it.
A lot of other illnesses can happen with smaller people too, but having a lot of weight can make certain risks higher.
But being tick is beautiful and i agree that the media need to stop trying to influence people to believe that slim is best, because the majority of men i know would rather have a girl with thighs and booty anyday!

an you truly be proud and confident caring around extra weight? Of course, it depends on how much weight we are talking about here, but just imagine caring around two car tyres all day every day, apparently, if you are 20 pounds over weight that's exactly what you'll be caring around.

20 Pounds in stones is 1 stone and 6 pounds.
Personally I don't think that is a lot of extra weight compared to what some people are carrying around with them!!!

20 pounds = 1 stone and about 4 pounds.
To convert pounds into stones u divide by 14 and to convert stone into pounds you multiply by 14 (as there r 14 pounds in every stone).

full figured is aan evil word!!! It means fat, not western fat, not english fat, not white fat, just fat!!! Most women arent happy carrying that weight , thats why you see them wearing jackets 4 sizes under there own. As black peopel we are already more sucepible to high blood pressure, diabities, kidney failure, etc and now we wana addobesiyty to our growing list of problems.
To full figured women, put the hot dog down and do a sit up. 10 sit ups a day, keeps these 5 belliies away

We all know obesity has been shown to be a major risk factor for cardiovascular dieses and we know that less physical activity and more fat and calorie intake are among the various factors contributing to the dramatic rise in obesity among black people.
I don’t get the point of the program, please explain to me the objective/s of this program. It’s got to be more than “I am big, beautiful and proud� because there is no way (Please disagree with me if i am wrong) anyone could claim to be happy and proud carrying excessive potentially deadly fat?

@janeylondon the show/project sounds good. i know many ladies who do not fit into catwalk tv celebrity breadstick thin and are loving it. peopel on here make me laugh as it seems many associate bad eating habits with being so called overweight when that may not be the case.
