I don't feel that it is only black women who seek to marry someone (in or out side of their race) who is better off financially than they are. I think it is true for most women of all races.

Mafdet. Thanks for raising bringing this to my attention:
…………'.soooooooooo me thinks if that is your agenda now you may be in for a public whipping if you carry that armour around with you in every thread. I saw your dig at something he said in the thread created by NuAmerican trying to unite us all, you took a quote he made and carried it over there, didn’t become you at all but I guess that doesn’t bother you'.
Queen Mafdet, I was too busy getting on with my friend NuAmerican, to go to the thread in question. But you know something, it does not surprise me for a second, because as you will note I checked her dirty girl moves and mentality long time ago when she start to raise my name with people in other posts, who had not asked her or involved her in their business. So knowing given life experience this, is her character it does not suprise me.
Demi reminds me of a girl I know of same dirty mentality. Always getting her self in dramas and trouble and then phoning the world trying to involve them in her sh*t, like people are kids not to have seen through her from the day dot. Then she wonders why she is the last to to know anything and she is kept at arms distance.
Any way dear Mafdet let we leave this fool and take our energies to threads where your talent is required. . But it is heartfelt to know I have a sister who has my back on such a slanderous and wreckless character.

Mafdet:
Once again you sound like Kareem who threatened to leave rather drastic wouldn’t you say or what was it Fredblack said ……..DRAMA QUEEN
What??
What's up with all this "Kareem threatening to leave" crap you're popping off about?
Where have I talked about running away or leaving Blacknet?
Give me some quotes or links in context.
First you accuse me of abandoning my fellow Americans in a war of words in the Old Blacknet...NOW you're accusing me of threatening to leave!

I think your going to need some good wholesome Caribbean soup to strengthen you for the battles that may lay ahead of you.
Damn right!
You can toss a bowl of it over your enemies and all them bone-chips and grisles will instantly shred their asses like chop-suey.

| Thanks for the enlightenment firstly I am with men who are from my race actually I have nothing against people marrying or going out with someone else. I prefer my own and that is blue eyes, six foot plus, nice tanned skin. I see still lots of good looking attractive girls married to white men so what. Ye seven i only goes for men who are better off and am honest it is money that also counts more than just the looks. Without sounding standoffish. I would never date anyone with no job, not higly educated and poor or coming from poor families. Talking of marrying down I do not think it exists in many nations actually. In every society people marry their own in terms of wealth, class etc. But most b;lack girls i have seen with whote men have tended to be on the whole attractive and pretty ones. I am not talking of the scums here.

@ Candace 'nice tanned skin' errr that would not be white though and do you have that kind of sun to sustain that artifical complexion? (seriously),cause Michigan sounds and from the map looks cold to me near that great big lake you got and mountains shiiiaat!.
Seems like the type you like has to have money as you've said cause no average 'joe' gonna have that to me.curious; still at least I know white girls can be just as material.

Just read your post and I going to tell you what I tell many I come across that projects the same sentiments as you. FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF OUR RACE STOP BEING PERSONAL AND START BEING LOGICAL its not about men versus women. STOP TALKING BULL CRAP please and trying to promote a battle of the sexes here. Because if that is your game plan then you will not have enough time in the day to read the long list of Black MALE celebrities with their white women partners I could produce.......so please drop that angle it serves no purpose here.
Let me explain for the purpose of my previous post that 50 cents was used as an example there are many out there that I could've said but I used 50 cent and stand by what I wrote. He is not a role model for kids to look up to and you please tell me what part of his tune In da club is educating our youth or 21 questions. There are many out there but I am going to choose KRS1 as an example of a postive rapper who came from a hard life....infact was homeless but still managed to go to school during the day and sleeping in subways by night, washing himself in the school bathrooms.
It strikes me that if you agree with the points on this board so far you will be for postive rappers that can tell you about the hard life but go deeper and tell you why the system has been purposely set up and geared at the black race black man in particular to fail. Thats why you will always find me listening to Common or Mos Def over the likes of 50 worthless cents.
Also you are very much mistaken if you think a rapper loving and promoting thug life and bling bling turns his nose up to sex if it came from a white women......do some research you will find they have subcome to this devilish temptation as you so call it way before we even knew about them via their celebrity status.
Remember this topic was opened up by using phrases such as the "British media" therefore an artist like 50 cent should be addressed as you yourself say young people look up to him. For this very point is why if I could turn back time I would ensure that one of those nine bullets was aimed more precisely or pay for the hitman to have proper firearms lessons concentrating on accuracy. Because its terrible when whites degrade us by damn right destructable when our own does it.
@Zee
Well said sister, but since words are failing you, you go take a well deserved break and when you come back don't forget full stops and paragraph it makes it so much more easier on the eye when reading. ....lol
@ baby......ooops I mean Kareem
Now why you want to play around with my name when you know it oh so well!
Anyway I can always gaurantee on you to fill in the gaps, I didn't want to jump on Sean Paul and Shaggy incase anyone came at me saying I am wrong because they are still black. But yes it has crossed my mind why these two artist have broken through international barriers and won so many awards over other long standing brilliant counterparts, but I certainly didn't and don't want to get into a lightskin versus darkskin war. But your words have not been lost on me I too see and note it.
Don't worry about your spelling...when I know it's from you...I don't read it anyway...I FEEL IT!
If I didn't know any better Kareem I'd say you was flirting with me...........................again
Still reading the posts-have not finished them all-but had to stop and make a comment. Sean Paul is not BLACK, he is jamaican but he is not BLACK. He is half oriental and half portugeuse-and his family are one of the richest in jamaica....so um yer u can harp on about him as much as u like. JUST LIKE BLU CANTRELL isnt black for anyone who thought she was-she is half-Italian and half-cherokee Indian! ...dont get it twisted cause they r being promoted as black,. let's not 4get mixed race does not extend to just half-black, half-white. Oh and one other thing, Sean Paul has been called in the british media, i quote ''a white jamaican'' ....so think about that...

On the other hand, u have ur in between disgraced female such as Lil Kim-is dark skinned can do nothing about it but she refuses to let that stop her from following in the footsteps of beyonce et al. N e ways my point is, the media does not just encourage black women to date outside it also discredits black females and entices black men to look for a whiter (if not white) partner (so let's not 4get that!)

Don't really think that it was all rap music making black men out to be thugs that keeps black women away. I am a black woman and i seen brothers who would rather be with a white woman than with a sister. Seems like whenever i saw a black man become a success, they replaced their black princess with a white woman almost like a trouphy.
Black man has to take some of the responsiblity for sisters leaving them. Becoming fathers and not facing up to the responsibilites is prevalent among black brothers, sisters have had to learn to do it for themselves, and be mother and father both to their kids. Personally, i dont find white men at all attractive, but that is just my personal preference. I feel that we should be proud to be with each other and love one another the way god intended us to.
I asked a black brother - a friend of mine, why he preferred white women and he told me that they were easier to get along with, he acknowledged that that could be coz he disrespected his black women friends and girlfriends until they were not prepared to take anymore, and he felt that a white woman would tolerate more. Maybe its just that we expect our men to be men, black or white. Sometimes you have to be prepared to stand up and be who you need to be as a strong black person. How do we teach our kids to be proud of who they are if we constantly deny it to ourselves.

But that does not apply to black women like Naomi Campbell, Tina Turner, Aisha tyler and countless others that date white men. Does it?
