Do you feel awkward wearing heels??
I'm 5'9 and I have a tendancy to feel kinda self concious in heels. I just bought the CUTEST pair of wedges for the summer  but when I tried them on when I got home I was horrified so see that they make me look taller than my boyfriend who's 6ft!
Anyway, i know i'm being silly and most times I don't give a damn what people think but this is the one thing I'm sensitive about. Anyone else have this issue?

girl get a grip, Im 5'10 or 5'11 tall, long strong and proud...wudnt change my amazon glamazon limbs for nuttin
being tall makes me abit different from the average 5'5 puny whimp of a woman
but in fairness i have only recently started wearing heels on nights out, but i wouldnt give up my heels either.
us tall girls have a certain love for eachother- a special bond that transcends race, religion and species
but i think you are too short for the secret community of tall women, sorry.

I don't think I'm that tall but I wear heels when I'm ready, My cousin who is 5'11 wears her heels and wears them proud.
I've heard "why do you wear heels when you're already tall?" I don't wear heels to make myself taller, I wear the shoes that I want to wear, simple.
On the other hand, where do you get tops and jackets with long enough sleeves?

| im not that tall- im 5-7" but for some reason, i guess its the people that im around, but when i wear heels i feel like a giant.

Im 5ft8/9 and i hate wearing heels i feel like a giant. My boyfriends 6ft1 so he always tells me to wear heels but i only own 1 pair and they got the tiniest heel.
My sister in law is 5ft10 and she always wears heels, so when we go out im glad, i dont feel so big next to her!

So you feel my pain then! The thing is, I DO where heels. I just don't always feel comfortable. But it never used to be an issue for me. in fact people always used to ask me "how can you wear heels when you're so tall?" but in the past couple years, its just really felt weird

Yeah i feel it!
Someone who i know is 5ft11 without heels and will wear heels 4 inches high and when I see her i think she looks good and she look like she exuberating (is dat even a word) so much confidence which is what it all comes down to really confidence.
Theres nothing worse then a tall girl with a bad posture trying to hide her height.

In my younger days I tried to disguise my height (5'10) by only wearing flats, but nowadays as long as I can walk in them I wear heels.
Hubs is 6'3 so there's not a lot of danger of me being taller than him.
I say sod everyone else, wear what you feel comfortable in. It's not your fault you're tall, and I've lost count of the number of women who've envied my height (maybe men too ).

depends if I want to stand out. Besides the fact that heels as everyday/day wear is too uncomfortable, I don't like standing out during the day, but sometimes I will rock the heels at a club (makes it easier to get low for some reason) or at a party if I want to intimidate unwanted,insecure men.

Well i am 6.1 and i wear heels all the time when i go out, even sometimes to go to work, i dont really care that it makes me taller that everybody else, i just think oh well, that is not my problems................
The only thing is you stand taller that men, however my man is 6.5, so when i wear heels, me and him are the same height............lol

I wear heels, Im 5'10, my boyfriend is 6'7 I try not to go above 2ins thou. And to think I hated being tall at school
