Ladies, and Gentlemen, this skincare range is one of the best kept secrets out there. Sample the luxurious lotions and Butters, soaps, body scrubs, Facial creams and one of my personal favourite their African Black soap facial scrub, Body mists(ladies, the smell of these ones will drive even your priest WILD ) and 100% Organic Shea Butter oil. And whats more,Its 100% black owned
It caters for oily, mature and sensitive skins, and ALL their products contains shea butter oil, but do not worry about the smell. I have yet to find so many products that smell as devine as the Nubian Natural Skincare range.
They have a new shop in Brixton at:3Vining Street, Brixton SW9 8QA
Tel:0207 733 8277
Give them a ring and they will gladdly explain the direction, you won't miss the shop, its like one of those small but cute Chelsea boutiques.
Here is the website so you can check out the products, and for those of you outside London, you can order through the website.
http://www.nubiannatural.com/
Basicaly this is our equivalent of the Body Shop.....although to be honest i would say that Nubian products are WAY better than the Body Shop ones and they are made for OUR skin types by our people.....so what more can you ask for?
Lets keep up with our promise of buying black and uplifting our communities.....Happy shopping everyone

Honey&Brown Sugar Body Scrub:
I have only used this once. Though I like the smell, I don't think it will be to everyone's taste...it does actually smell like sugar (which makes sense because it IS sugar) and iced tea.
The effect of the product is brilliant. The scent actually improves once using it in the shower and it left my skin feeling baby soft.
Honey&BrownSugar Body Wash:
Fantastic! It smells like honey: sweet and intoxicating. The consistency is slightly thinner than commercial shower gels and body washes, but do not be fooled a little truly does go a long way. It is creamy and the smell is heavenly in the shower. It left my skin feeling soft and smelling great.
Honey&Black Seed Lotion.
Because of the nature of my skin I LOVE thick lotions. The consistency of this lotion is excellent. Though it is thick, it is not greasy and absorbs well into the skin. I like to use a lot of cream on one part of my body and I cream everything so I ordered the large bottle. Yet again the smell is great-but not to everyone's taste (my friend preffered the smell for a hair product). It smells similar to the Honey&Brown Sugar Body wash, but not as strong and this scent has a hint of vanilla (though I'm not sure if they even used Vanilla in this product).
I did try to use this on my face, but my skin is even more sensitive there and very fussy and it did not like it all. So I went back to using the Oats and Aloe lotion-which is great for people who do not like creams with a strong scent.
*Edited to say: I went back to using the oats and aloe on my face, not my body-I'm sticking with the oh so wonderful Honey&Black Seed for that!
Oh and about time they opened a shop in South London. Ihave used their soaps before but had to travel all the way to East London and that was long!

Thanks for that Mezmerized sounds lovely I've had been looking for sone decent stuff for my skin so I'll check it out.
Is it expensive though? I can never find anything good for my face I have sensitive skin but by pours tend to get clogged up and sometimes it feels like it just needs a good wash. Things like tea tree oil from the body shop are too strong, vitimin face wash from their is too moisterising and it doesnt feel very clean afterwards.
Watch me though going on like your a dermatogolist! sorry
Any ideas?
I use body shop Brazil nut cream so if they have anything along that line it would be great. Would you recommend some of there creams for children?

They were selling the soaps in a Black/African bookstore near Dalston station...I'm not sure of the exact location you would have to ask DM for that. (At the time they only had the soaps-not sure if they sold anything else from the Nubian Heritage range).

| Are the products that they are selling from Black/African companies as well? Most of the products I saw I can get at my local here in Florida, but I have always wondered about that African Black soap they are selling. I normally order DuDu Osun since it comes from Nigeria. If anyone has used Dudu Osun and other Black soaps, how do they compare?

I feel you about your pores....i have the same problem and most things are just way too harsh and my skin is very sensitive. I use the Nubian Heritage's African Black soap facial scrub with oats and aloe once or twice a week and for the rest of the week i use Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish...it was recomemded to me by Jett Black and i can tell you it has done me wonders....i am not as paranoid as i used to be about my face before.
The facial scrub is not heavy so it exfoliates you skin, leaving it soft and smooth.
I use body shop Brazil nut cream so if they have anything along that line it would be great. Would you recommend some of there creams for children?
Funny enough ii used to use the body shop brazil nut cream, but the Nubian Natural butters are even better. I use the Mango body or the Honey and brown sugar with black seed oil butters. Trust me, they are not as greasy as the brazil nut cream yet keeps you moisturised all day long(it must be the shea butter in it). If you check the website, you'll find more butters and you can read to see what sounds good for you, but if i were you my days of body shop would be over. Oh and the smell is devine.....as for children, well all their creams are child friendly as it does not contain any harsh unatural ingredients or chemicals. My niece has been using my body butter and she loves it.
Hope that helps.

Abs, what you mean? This is me trying to let others in the family where to get their skin care products without ending up at Mr Patel's stink tomorrow to buy Hydroquinone filled so called whitening "beauty" creams.
I feel i am doing the BN members a favour here...am sure even the Mods will love the products. Its 100% black owned...something we should be proud of me thinks.
Oh and i think its time African people got their silly heads out of Body Shop...i bet some don't even know that the Body Shop has taken over Ghana's coconut oil market and now Ghananias in their own countries cannot afford it.
Now, imagine if this was to be build up as the black people's body shop? Not only are the products better and for our skin types, but we would be using things that we know are grown in our natural environment.
Anyways, you are distracting me...i'm supposed to be writing my review of my favourite products.

LOL carry on don’t let me stop you. As of the Ghana coconut butter being owned by body shop I would like to hear if it’s true from Ghanaians. I am still in shook that they are persecuting Ghanaians for using their own products.
Anyway my reviews………..
I personally use honey and black seed soap twice a week, African black exfoliating soap body wash three – four times a week, and African black wash or whatever I am in the mood for the remaining days. I have also been using the African exfoliating soap on my face for the past three weeks and the result so far is amazing, I am making it my daily face wash from now on.
For body scrub I don’t think you can beat the “Olive & Green Tea but it’s best used in the steam room.
As of lotion, I use the raw shea butter for all over body at night and specific places during the day. This product is amazing, it is meant to be the number one cream to reduce stretch marks and even skin tone.
If you suffer from body acne breakouts, Oats & Aloe is the perfect choice for you.
The “Mango body butter all I can say is oh my god, this product is amazing, it smells so so good and feels amazing on your skin. I think everyone should have this even just to use on special occasions .
Body Mist – My favourite has to be “Lick me all over. Oh the scent is so divine hence the name lick me all over lol.
For hair I use the shampoo, the serum (to stem hair and also as a scalp oil when I have my braids), I also use the leave in conditioner and Pomade.
Trust me ones you go Nubian Heritage you will never go back. Hehe

This is my reviews of the products that i use..
African Black Soap wash and scrub with Vitamin E:
Its a deep body cleanser that treats body breakouts and superficial skin afflictions while gently exfoliating dead skin cells from head to toes. Its contains Dead sea salts, Jojoba Beads, oatmeal, aloe and Shea butter. It soothes and and firms cleansed skin and induces new cell growth. The best thing about this is that unlike most washes, its really does leave your skin feeling soft and the smell again is devine. So far the best wash for people with sensitive problem skins. However i would avoid using it on the face because i think its a litlle bit harsh for the face.
Olive&Green Tea Body Scrub with Ginseng:
This is a creamy dual action exfoliant that naturally lifts dead skin cells, leaving your skin radiant and purified, while it softens and moisturises restoring the skin to its natural balance. I must stress that for best result, use it in the steam room after having scrubed thoroughly, you should not use any soap afterwards. The oil is good for the skin. i also use the Honey and Brown Sugar scrub, i love it and unlike BB, i love the smell even though its a big too sugary.
African Black Soap Facial Scrub with Oats and Aloe:
It helps to clear congested pores allowing the skin to breath freely.Dead sea mineral salts, and oats naturally removes dirt, oil and dead skin cells. As the Black African soap deep cleanses, salicylic acid targets and treats acne while shea butter ensues smooth moist skin. The best scrub i've ever used
Nubian Organics' Raw Shea Butter:
I am taking advantage of the winter cold to just momify myself with this, because come summer this will be too oily and i do not fancy having sweat marks all over me. The Raw Shea Butter is perfect for dry skin, reducing streach marks and maintaining the general health and elasticity of the skin.
