please check out and support this major exhibition of Contemporary African Art at The South Bank Centre and throughout London.
Lots of Great stuff to see, Dizee Rascal will be playing at one of the Music Events, so definitely worth checking out.

A friend and I went to Hayward gallery to see the art display last Sunday... very impressive I thought.
You need at least three hours to fully enjoy the whole display and also watch some of the video presentations...
There is one video presentation done by an Ethiopian artist, I highly recommended you make time to watch, I think running time is about 30-45 min. It’s a group of men from all over Africa who live in Sweden sitting at a dinner table talking about their experience when they first arrived in the country, their experience with white women and how they went about getting to stay... at times very funny, i got two new words from it as well (Kokobello and Gunilla).
The whole art display I thought was fantastic, you’ll regret it if you miss it… i cannot say enough how brilliant it is.

| totally agree Abi this whole festival is a one in a lifetim ething we really need to get the word out about it, so many oppurtunities to see really great artists, cant afofrd to miss it.

Yes people....DO GO....we keep saying that we need more exposure, well this is your chance to see and support our artists!
Plus the more of us go, the more likely this event is to go on for years to come......
AND DO try and get a ticket for Yvone Chaka Chaka......Its one of those opportunity that comes every few years....So DO GO and experience another black entertainment culture that has nothing to do with Hip Hop, Rap ect.........She is just amazing....Oh and she will be joined by a Madagascan artist.....which would be a very interesting combination
Again i echoe what NT said.....GOOOOOO and it cost less than going to see 50 rubish cent

YES....YES....we can't complain about those dumb artists that are ambarrassing us and not support the ones that actually portays us in the truest and dignified way possible!
Well done in briging this thread You should have seen me running to book our tickets...i was so excited that i told Abissinia it was gone be THIS Sunday!......fortunatly its Next month lol...gives me time to come back to earth.......I absolutly adore her (miss Chaka Chaka) like mad!.....
Ahhh i can't wait to go and see the arts on sundayI am so excited like a baby....lol Blame Abs....she can't stop going on about!

Thanks... i love those two words.. one of the men explained that Gunilla was the name they use for white women who go to Africa to specifically sleep with African men... 
Anyway, native and Dimoke... absolutely agree we do need to support our own, specially if it's as good as this one... hopefully next time they will think twice before putting together a show like the black british style rubish in victoria and albert museum... gzzzz that almost put me off ever going to another show...

Ok people.....there are still more Artists to see if you are interested!
I think Koffi Olomide is on on the 30th......
Trust me you'll love it! I was there last night to see Yvone Chaka Chaka of South Africa......it was amazing......she was fantastic as ever and the true showmanship of what a real DIVA is about!
Please do go and support this African event....so they can come back again next year!
