Some African knowledge for ya
King Mswati of Swaziland, 33 became king at age 18 in 1986.

He has Ten wives (his late father had 125) and several children. Each has their own spectacular palace where they reside with their children.

King Swazi chooses a new wife every year

--------------------------------------------
The passing of each summer in the capital of Mbabane is marked by the Umhlanga, or reed dance. At that point, young virgins are summoned from all over the country to participate in a five-day festival held, naturally, in honour of the king. The Umhlanga festival, is where the King chooses a new wife.

Dressed in short, beaded skirts, the bare-breasted girls, dance for the monarch. Giving the dance its name, the young maidens gather reeds from specially designated areas.
Tradition dictates that Mswati's only task is to sit back, enjoy the show, and pick a new child bride.

His current wives are Inkhosikati LaMatsebula, Inkhosikati LaMotsa, Inkhosikati LaMbikiza [Sibonelo Mngomezulu], Inkhosikati LaNgangaza [Carol], Inkhosikati LaHwala, Inkhosikati LaMagwaza [Delisa Magwaza], Inkhosikati LaMasango [Senteni Masango], Inkhosikati LaGija [Angel Dlamini], Inkhosikati LaMagongo [Nontsetselo Magongo], Inkhosikati LaMahlangu [Zena Soraya Mahlangu], Noliqwa Ayanda Ntentesa, Nomonde Fihla,

Swaziland is a landlocked kingdom in Southern Africa. This is a very brief thread but I hope, somepeople have learnt something new.
