Take away the false boobs, bikini and stripper shoes ..replaced with traditional african wear..I would think this was a beautiful doll.
I really dont think its too bad either
Its just the clothes and silicone looking boobs that make it look trashy.

Ermmm.....Spencer Davis, the creator of these dolls is a white 32 year old male born in Los Angeles but raised in Hillsboro Oregon U.S.A. He started off by adding clay to regular Barbie dolls. Some of these pictures are his moronically sarcastic view of the black female body. This is low brow pop art.  Additionally he doesn't just do black women figures he also does white women and fantasy women poses and comic book figures. All of which share the same body dimensions i.e. big chest wide hips etc etc. If this is what pays his bills/ puts food on his table and it is obvious that some people out there like this sort of thing. To each his own.
I think I have said too much...but not enuff!!!

The artist/sculptor is white, he has a picture on his website.
However in fairness to the guy, he doesnt only portray black women like that, he makes all his figures the same (unrealistic) propotions, he just changes the race.
Derogatary to women perhaps but not black women specifically...look and see....

interesting, the symbolism is very challenging because the hair is 'correct' the complexion is 'correct' and the figure is 'correct' however the attire is 'incorrect'; artistically it's more complex than my first impression – ‘just trash’.
