The mighty Angkor wats.. You may remember these from the flick Tomb Raider as it was filmed here and at Ta Phrom.. these glorious temple that has to be seen to be believed were only discovered by westerners in 1907... until then these huge temples had been unknown to all but the locals..

Ok so imagine this...you sail up the Mekong river to a remote spot (or so you think.) Your then jump into the river to have a swim and then out of the blue these jokers turn up!! As i soon discovered the Khmer's do not take no for an answer.. The woman in the forefront actually jumped into the water just to sell me her various silk wares.. needless to say I ended up buying half their stock..shhhhh i'm so easy..

Those are some beautiful images
The temples with the face and the huge tree roots holding everything up and the raging waterfall were amazing.
I can't believe that woman really came after you in the water to sell you some of her silk wares!

| Nic pics! Looks like a great place to visit. How was it? - Has Cambodia picked itself up from the poverty we were made aware of some years ago? The two little kiddies peeping behind the column smiling are so cute. Did you have a bath in the Mekong River?
