I know you like art what do you think of these share your views.....others are welcome to also share

Noir by Larry Poncho Brown.....I think this piece is just STUNNING! Now you know why this artist is one of my favs

Two Beauties by Henry C Porter..................love it because its cultural and modern at the same time

Family Tree by Kadir Nelson................ this piece of art to me paints a thousand words it may not be the best piece of art in terms of finished quality but the idea is beautiful.

I know why you like the first one, the texture is very good.  The light and shading I like too.  It's also about the smoothness...

The concept of the last one is nice yes and I do happen to like the execution too.

If I had to have one on my wall though it would be the middle one.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your right it could be better, But I kinda see as if its a dream,  Not completely full in detail but you know what they are trying to convey. It would need only a little bit of sharpening. What I love about this the most is that its a totally different family tree, the family is one, closely huddled upward and a straight direction, together.  That's what makes it unique . not a tree  trunk with branches going in which ever way directions (the traditional view of a family tree) not holding the other family members. nothing family about that yet they call it a family tree. Its obvious  yes, but I've never seen a version like this.
how old is this picture?
K.Nelson's version and view of a family tree is the only I've seen this original and creative. I love it.
I wonder if he could make it taller to seem more majestic and powerful. unmovable even  by the strongest winds rain or whatever kind of weather.
I like Noir and Family Tree, very powerful image and has so many interpretations. I will actually see if it can be purchased.
@Mafdet: I really like the first one. Reminds me of the Grace Jones for some reason Also there was another pic you posted on another thread (can't recall which one now:?) I think it's called Chocolate Roses. That was really nice too. Where did you get that from? I'd like to see more from that artist.
They can all grace the walls of my home as far as I am concerned.  I love 'em all.  However, for symbolic impact and sheer originality, the Family Tree wins it for me.  That one is deep and depicts so much meaning on more than one level.  That is my number 1.
I have to agree w/everyone on the Family Tree image.  Powerful.
Noir...so pensive and beautiful.  Beautiful chiseled features.
I wasn't really drawn to the Two Beauties until I took a much closer look and noticed the shoulders/upper body, the representation of the woman with the hoops actually borne out of the "ancient mask"/ancestor.  Powerful.  I have seen this piece around for a few years and this is the first time that I really took any real time to look at it.  I'm glad I did.
