Perhaps I should start including a picture of myself in an avatar.  Basic_Meo, I'm not a 'Bro,' I'm a 'Sis.'

Anyway, you're very talented, you should really look into it.

Very sorry, Sometime it very dificult  to know who is who here

Yes Maat,
its a bit funny look, I would like you to try and interprete the artis thought, a lot of people have tried to give there view about it but they have not be able to succed the artis Imagination...

Let me give you some clue about it, its not an animal, none it a plant and is not a part of plant... but it can hold somthing...

Hmmm...not sure.  It is definitely a gourd, but not sure of your symbolism.  I wish I could see the pictures a little better (the picture from May 30th and the top view from June 5th are a bit difficult to see).  Since art is open to individual interpretation: for me I think of four possible things (based a little on the pictures but more so on your description of the pictures--I'm assuming there is no opening or break/split in the gourd):  one, humanity (ebbs and flows and interdependence, i.e. the water continuously "circulating" throughout); another, family (namely mother and child or two significant others ("continuous flow"/connection); third, I can also interpret it from an environmental perspective (also very much based on interdependence and ebbs and flows).  Fourth, I think of the heart itself with its valves and such, circulating, beating, at its best continually flowing...    Now if you come back and tell me it is just a gourd, Imma be upset.  :)

Thanks for sharing.  I look forward to the interpretation.

Maat, lol, I know what you mean. I was like whoa, very risque, brother.

Excellent !!! you have a beautiful interpretation, as you know that the arties have a shallow mine to read into their creativities, but  I gave the readers a credits (I mean those who have to look deep into the artis work and try to interprete and bring it pices of work into light ) for sure it not a gourd, but it is an object with a hiding outlet...

I like your interpretation of interdependence, like a continuening circulation eg. the heart  etc... they are near my thinking of the creation of "RESERVED" also have something to do with humanity how we react in our daily  lives.

anyway a BIGblkrubhead hug from me and stay bless

Yes, I am still try to get more technic, at this moment I am still slow in it

That lamp is something diffrent bro.
the Lamp was my Imagination, the woman try to cover herself up in a shameful situation and that is what make her even more sexy

How much would it cost/ how long did it take to make?

Well the cost is a bit difficult to fix at this stage but it could be very expensive or less expensive depend on the valuer, it is only copy you can find in the world plus it is hand made with the mark of my tools and my finger marks that give it a good value.
The time it will take to produce it will be arround 12 to 20 hours aprox.

watch out I still have two items coming this month... and hope you enjoy it

Thank you very much for your interest and I will keep you inform in your  PM when ever I have new collection

Another question BM... Can you draw?

Was wondering, if a person can work out depth and visually craft soemthing as you have they must be able to draw as the two are one and the same. One on paper, one with clay/appropiate materials.

Right or Wrong?

Also, can you use diffrent materials? I mean theres clay, metal etc... would they involve using diffrent skills rather than the obvious???

Yes, as every body can draw! well I am not very good at drawing, but live and direct drawing I am good at that
and a bit of painting

Well you don't have to know how to draw to use clay, most of the sculpture drawing are a bit wade when you look at it, it dosen't realy make sence to others that much, in my case I do a sketch of drawing of my work first before I start modelling it.

You can visualised craft as well when making it without drawing, in that case the picture of that object  is snap in you vision and in your memory.

Right or Wrong? ???

I haven't try other materials, but I would like to try and use wood, and metal especiall bronz which is my native origin,

I guess everyone can draw... but its like saying everyone can write and watching them draw embarrasing scribbles. Always wished I could draw, properly, like robots and other weird things that only Rebel-lion thinks of.

:)

Thats cool man. You could have the sculptures with the drawing, it'll be like a collectors thing,

Posh Art person #1; ''I have 3 Basic-Meo sculptures, all origional''

Posh art person #2; ''Ahhh, but you don't have the drawings!''

lol

So really you can make 2D into a 3D peice of art, or make 2D look like 3D on paper... like swtiching dimensions in Dr Who or something... thats what I was thinking about. Thing is, people that can draw can't normally make sculptures, it only works in reverse. The sculpture has a better understanding of angles and dimensions than most artists.

What you gonna make in bronze and how do you make it? Do you have to make a mold and pour it in or something?... Can you make a Lion with a red green and black mane? That'd be well cool.

Sorry 4 being nosy btw, can see you're a humble guy.

Peace

RL

Rebel-Lion, you just have to believe that you can do it, to be hornest with you Iam not better than you in drawing... any body can do any thing if he/she put interest on it. Remember that prectice make perfect!

:)

yeh I love art and I like to feel it that is why I took up to modelling.  2D to 3D can be difficult you just have to use your imagination to complete the other side of it.

At this moment I haven't have any experience in bronz I want to learn it. Next year when I go to Nigeria, I want to see if I will have the chance to learn it in the local craft workshop or I will do a scrach course in the university over there...

Making craft of description from people is not a problem, if someone give me a drawing or a picture I would be able to do it in ceramics the Lion sound very good too to make... I am thinking now to devolt part of my time to 16 and 17 century sculpture of Africa and others to my Imagination.

I still have one work coming up before july, I will noticfy you when I have it finish. after that until september the workshop is close for holiday.

THX a lot for your interest if you have any Q feel free to write me

Sorry 4 being nosy btw, can see you're a humble guy.
