I wouldnt be to quick to sneer at 'knotted gun' Gun crime is rising, sadly particualarly in certain black communities.
by raising awareness he is benefitting ALL communities.

Not vote away civil rights! which is what he has done and will do again when the ID card bill is re-introduced.
You see voting on law change makes a big difference, doing photo ops and appealing to the black community is nothing more than lipservice if you don't actually use the vote in parliament to make a change, these bills will have a profound effect on the community......he voted the terrorism act...asian community has had a targeting increase...because that law passed which he voted for means anybody can be charged with it.
Try stealing an apple from a shop and you'll find that under the definition of terrorism you'll actually fall under that heading, if they wanted to be really smart they could say you're in poccession of apple seeds because you intend to make ricin......does this sound familiar?
He will vote for the ID card bill and in turn our civil liberties will be even more restricted, if it passes do you think it will have a effect on the black community? you bet it will.

I dont think It would have any direct effect on black peopel anymore than it would the whites though.

So it's ok if the ID cards has diverse effects on everybody?
Also I can tell you never read the terrorism act just like most of the so called MP's, it virtually covers anything and everything that is illegal as terrorism - thats why I mentioned stealing apples.....do you see clear now?
You do relise the recent arrest of a man making ricin only had some fruit seeds in his house and nothing more!(everybody has most of the ingredients in their house) but because he killed a policeman over immigration more than a year previously they threw in a extra charge of terrorism.

The guy is a waste of space so why don't you stand if you think you can do better. All you need is people who believes in what you stand for.
We will never do something as a race but as soon as one does something we fine ways to kill them off. Being black does not mean he should think like you or do things the way you what.
What matters is he doing what is good for people and himself and if we all start been positive about ourselves maybe and maybe guy like DL will have a case. The same people who went in for Diana A in the 90's now says she is has done a good job.
If you can do better stand as an MP but don't sit at home and knock someone. Is not because of him society is mess up

I think you are badly wrong here. Lammie has spoken out fervently about crime in and Tottenham. There was a gun incident in Broadwater Farmlast year when he was present and people I know who were there at the time, said he was very vocal to the police in getting the incident sorted out, when the police actually shut the whole vicinity down and where stopping innocent people with families leaving a local event area until well in to the early morning. He was very passionate then and went up a lot in local peoples estimation.
It is shame about his choice of spouse, but are you suprised.

Very very very VERY naive view, what exactly has he done? Turn up at a few public meetings, chat about what you wanted to hear on the current issues facing tottenham?
THEN HE GOES AND VOTES THE OPPOSITE WAY IN PARLIAMENT AND HELP TAKE AWAY CIVIL LIBERTIES.
As a black person, you must know when this goes.... the blackman gets it, he is reversing everything what Bernie Grant voted for in parliament, Mr. Grant talked about helping the community and backed up his words by voting to what he said, this is what politions are for.
david lammy is supposed to represent the people of Tottenhams wishes in parliament, he is supposed to vote your wishes, he is YOUR voice.
So why is he voting to strip away your rights? he is a total blairite, he follows the party line.
