... in the interests of his career, Britain's First Black Prime Minister Elect has decided that, despite the abundance of love and beauty available to him from African women, he will soon be marrying a European woman.
Whether or not this will gloss over the complete dog's dinner that he made of his first big parliamentary presentation in the House of Commons a month ago is not known, but at least it shows that he is anxious to gain credibility with his masters. He should go a long way.

@MGL. Well David Lammy has as much chance of becoming a prime minister on this planet earth in any nation as I have giving birth to a Rennault Segane or any other make of car.
Lammy is useless technically as a politician and a coconut from the tip of his toes to the peak of his head. He ain't no loss to anybody and another typical parasite who had it not been been deposited in the safe seat of Bernie Grant we would not have ever heard his name.
He definitely ain't no loss to any black woman of depth or quality. And his ex should not screw if my man was too busy sexually servicing Tony Blair and his Blairites to have any time for her. Then again any black woman who would have interest in a coconout like that aint to far from that breed any how and if it is true she is now with a white boy nothing complicated about that.
Hey not every black person who declares their postiion is a lost to anyone especially not black people. In fact it is good they marry white as it makes it less complicated when we go after them . He could have done a Boateng who is a far more intelligent and calculating man and married Janet Boateng; who is the worse type of coconut wannabe black woman, don't lke black women or anybody else ,espeically if they don't put on white air and graces.
Her great achievement apart from marrying Boateng was becoming a Social Worker palying politics with race and black people and dissing other black women in Brent Council. Remember her well.

It matters not what any of us think of Ms Sarpong's physical attributes. She has neither the right connections, nor the right complexion.
Phony Blair has ordained Brother Lammy as First Black Prime Minister Elect. Brother Lammy, having made a complete and total fool of himself in front of national television cameras in the House of Commons only a few short weeks ago, has decided that he knows what is best for his career. Why search for love from African women when you can secure promotion to the cabinet with a matrimonial union to a suitably acceptable European woman?

Didn't his predecssor Bernie Grant also have a white wife? That didn't make him any less a champion for the Black British cause.
I think some of you are being a bit harsh on the man.
David Lammy has been vilified frequently on this website, yet nobody has given specifics about what ways he damaged Black British people.
It it simply because he's not a firebrand MP? Is it becuase he is now a Junior Minister for Constitutional Affairs.
A few months ago, he gave a speech which talked about the "Poverty of Ambition"

No, I didn't agree with all of it, but it did contain grains of truth that we can all agree with, even if you're not his greatest fan. He does look at these issues sometimes in a considered rational manner, and let's be honest, isn't he entitled to carve out a political career for himself, as well as represent his constituants.
His choice of life partner, or her race was of no consequence for Bernie Grant. Why not judge Lammy by his actions?

During the 80s and early 90s, Bernie Grant was one of the few black people (I include myself) who got off their backsides and marched and protested on Anti-Apartheid and Anti-Nazi league marches; against the epitome of institutional racism and the oppression of black people...
His level of activism was second to none, whereas many in the Black British grumbled about the situation in private, but did little to show their support to their oppressed brethren in Southern Africa.
He did more for us than many others who held nothing more than good intentions.

I see that the title of this thread has been mysteriously altered to read "Black Member of Parliment, David Lammy To Marry ... White Woman" instead of "First Black Prime Minister Elect Lammy To Marry ... White Woman". I do hope that this has been cleared with Phony Blair.
Like the rest of the African community in the UK, I am happy to judge Brother Lammy by his "actions".
One of his "actions" appears to a decision to marry a European woman.
Here is the action that Brother Lammy has taken to end, or even draw attention to the mental genocide of African children in British schools:

@LoveDaddy. Given that many black people do not have any basic expectations of their own. you may have some grounds. However, some of us who do have expectations take a different view and standard of black commitment.
Bernie Grant evolved a great deal in his education etc but still would not be my choice of represenative on a whole heap of grounds. But he was the best of a very dire lot. Boateng has a black woman who illustrates the point is it better to have a black serpent of a woman than a white socialist as did Bernie?
But that is a dicussion if you are use to eating at the bottom of the bucket. If Bernie is going to get his due then he should. But if the standard is that he did more than the average joker or plonker well doesn't say much does it?
I have a right to expect a black leader of quality to represent at least the average capabilities of our community and to have a decent black woman. Standard. Not a luxury but the overwhealming majority so when I see the one with a white woman it does not detract my attentions.
So Bernie was the best of a terrible bunch, but still not good enough for many of us and anyone comparable with a decent black woman would get the support and he marginalised. No black man who takes a white woman in politics is serious. At least there is one place you expect some good PR in those areas is politics and I take insult that our politicians too lazy even to do that, which is insulting.
@MGL who cares what Tony Blair says? He aint black and means nothing to how most black people think. No white man can sell a coconut to the black majority try as they may. So who gives a flyijng...
