If you read anything but the Source Magazine, you'd know why I have such distain for Africa.
The hypocracy that so called civilized people like you have is quite something. You're appaulled by people who drain cattle blood to drink yet you are living in a so called civilized country that worships rockers like Ozzy Osbourn who bit off the head of a live dove at a press conference or what about Marilyn Manson who has sex with animals at his concerts. And don't let me even go on about the so called vampire cults who the blood of other humans to drink. You complain about nudity yet you live in a society obsessed with pornography and has no problem showing people having sex on television? And God forbide that some Africans have plate lips when there are so called civilized people tatooing and piercing every inch of their bodies, including their genitals, and putting horns through their noses so that they can better resemble the cows that these Africans drained blood from.
And no if we read anything other than the Source Magazine we will not know what you're talking about. There were plenty of civilizations in Africa before European colonization. Shona, Ancient Ghana, Mali, Songhai, Ethiopia, and many others were all empires before any white man sailed to Africa but I wouldn't want to shock an ignorant brat like you so I'll let you do your own research. And while you're at it maybe you can pick up some information about how these so called civilized people used to burn people alive because they thought they were witches. Or how they cut out the heart of their enemies in battle and ate it because they thought that it would make them stronger. Oh and don't forget to read about how they boar holes into the heads of living people because they thought that it would help to drive demons away. Actually that last practice is still alive and well, maybe if you're lucky you might stubble onto a site with detailed description on how you can perform one of these procedures on yourself.

"Today, ancient African ingenuity gives us steel. The University of Houston's College of Engineering presents this series about the machines that make our civilization run, and the people whose ingenuity created them.
Modern steel-making began in 1847. William Kelly of Eddyville, Kentucky, found he could make superior structural iron if he blew air through molten pig iron. Oxygen from the air burned harmful elements out of the iron and formed a very strong carbon steel. The process gave what we call converter steel. Nine years later the Englishman Henry Bessemer reinvented Kelly's method. Today we talk about the Bessemer process for making carbon steel.
But carbon steel had been made long before either Kelly or Bessemer. One of the oldest and most sophisticated methods was that of the Haya people. They're an African tribe in what is Tanzania today. The Hayas produced high-grade carbon steel for about 2000 years.
The Hayas made their steel in a kiln shaped like a truncated upside-down cone about five feet high. They made both the cone and the bed below it from the clay of termite mounds. Termite clay makes a fine refractory material. The Hayas filled the bed of the kiln with charred swamp reeds. They packed a mixture of charcoal and iron ore above the charred reeds. Before they loaded iron ore into the kiln, they roasted it to raise its carbon content.
The key to the Haya iron process was a high operating temperature. Eight men, seated around the base of the kiln, pumped air in with hand bellows. The air flowed through the fire in clay conduits. Then the heated air blasted into the charcoal fire itself. The result was a far hotter process than anything known in Europe before modern times.
Anthropologist Peter Schmidt wanted to see a working kiln, but he had a problem. Cheap European steel products reached Africa early in this century and put the Hayas out of business. When they could no longer compete, they'd quit making steel.
Schmidt asked the old men of the tribe to recreate the high tech of their childhood. They agreed, but it took five tries to put all the details of the complex old process back together. What came out of the fifth try was a fine, tough steel. It was the same steel that'd served the subsaharan peoples for two millinea before it was almost forgotten.
This ancient African steel was the fruit of unalloyed human ingenuity. This complex metal, flowing from simple native elements, forms a mute tribute to the power of the human mind over matter.

Villagers sorry you will have noticed that I've removed all comments from this thread except my own and that I've sent this thread to the dustbin closed.. I have also recommended that Vale is excluded from this site..again here's why....
First it is NOT for for Africans regardless of where they live to take responsibility for or be accountable for the actions of people they have never ever met..so Vales (or should that read thinly veiled) argument of unbalanced criticism is full you know what?
Second point typical of this idiot he seeks to make a like for like comparison about the behaviour of lets say a few thousand poor people in comparison to the elected leader of USA.. and then claim that the criticism is unfair really!!!
Lets break this down..BUSH is the publically elected leader of the USA charged with the responsibility of all it citizens.. the people Vale spoke about, are they elected, are they in a position of power are they charged with the responsibility of demostrating equal rights..when their very lives are at stake? Can you see the utter stupidness of this man/woman's arguments?
The facts are in a state of lawlessness people strangely enough will behave lawlessly..but it begs the question why is he bringing his damn fool self here presenting such idiot point of view when clearly. The responsibility for maintaining the safety and the rule of LAW rests with the Federal Goverment of the USA...did Vale post his comments on any USA website yea like hell he did..so we/i know his intent on posting his racist agenda was purely to antagonise and deflect criticism of the behaviour of his people in this situation..
He wants the TRUTH...well the TRUTH is ...If even MAX Hastings in the DAILY MAIL a RIGHT WING paper, is driven to criticising President BUSH and his conduct..that should have told this muppet, that he is barking up the wrong tree, that should have informed this idiot that his complaint and pathetic charge of racism... has no grounds.. Australians are some of the most racist people in the world . I was on a African/Australian website the other day and I saw this article on the treatment of new Australian Sudanese immagrants. It said that people from white power groups in Australia were going around verbally abusing and attacking sudanese families with rotten eggs,potatoes, rocks, some were even threaten with death. One sudanese man said that they can't go out at night alone because of it. Another family had to be relocated because they were constantly under threat from some of their neighbours . Reading about this really made me sad and angry because most of these sudanese people came from extremely hard conditions as it is. But it looks like this type of behaviour is becoming quite common. I also red that an Australian under -12 football coach and some fans are accused of yelling racist insults at two sudanese boys they have been accuse of calling the boys " f**king little black b**tards and told them to " get back to where you came from". And I always thought that Australia was a great place to visit or live. But after reading about this, I really don't think I want live there or take a vacation there either. My aunt was over there a few years ago and she said that people were acting quite prejudice towards her at the hotel and in restaurants. She said when she went into the restaurant the whole mood change people look like they wanted to vomit she said. You would think white Australian would have been a bit more use to dark skinned people but apparently that not so . Maybe thats because most Aboriginies look white or are fair skinned. They certainly don't like dark coloured/ African people thats for sure. They seem to abuse Africans immagants more than maoris immagrants,asians,indians even aborigines. And I think I know why.

| That is absolute BULLS*IT.......Sorry yeah but let's take this from the experiance of someone who has spent there summer working and living with australians and others from around the world for the past 3-4 months.....You don't know crap...! I am a black person, and the I have four very very good WHITE australian friends who i have just spent possibly the best summer of my life with. They were so respectful of who i was and vice versa....I even discussed the division of the white and black divide amongst aboriginies in australia and understood the prespective of why some whites feel the way they do towards some of the black aboriginies in australia. There were things i agreed with and things i completly didn't. It's just plain damn ignorant for you to come on here and put that view across, to other black people, that's why the black race is so ignorant. Have you guys even met or been a friend with an australian person. It's weird how much you can change if you actually get up and travel and meet and see different people from around the world you wouldne't be this ignorant.

When I first met my aussie m8, the first thing I asked him was to explain to me why Australians had such a reputation for being racist.
At first he didn't believe me, but me and an asian guy I knew both gave him a million examples of racist aussies and eventually he admitted that Australia was quite late on the whole multicultural thing. He said that Aus had a white only immigration policy until fairly recently and i read somewhere that aboriginies were regarded as flora and fauna (as in not human) by the Aus law until recently as well!

And yes,alot of Australian do have negative stereotypes,views of dark skinned people . You'd be surprise if you went an ask some Africans about their experience in Australia. Your friends might not be racist ,they might be nice like you say ,but that doesn't speak for all. I know the aborigines are also prejudice. But it doesn't change the situation.

I don't know how racist they are but I know some Australians are pretty damn rude.
All you have to do is make an honest mistake of asking are they from England for them to jump all over you talking about "mate" this and "alright partner" that.
I had to sit next to one of them fools on a plane last year.
This goof-ball spent half the trip running his mouth about paddling around in some lake in Colorado with his ugly Chinese girlfriend.
Not only couldn't I understand a damn thing he was saying, but everytime I tried to get a word in edge-wise he keep leaping up in the seat saying;
"Yeah yeah but wait, listen to this....listen to this guy this is the best part right here!"
And proceeds to run his mouth some more.

Seemingly White Australians are far worse to the aborirgines than the White Americans are to African Americans ---and I mean pathetically worse. I was looking at a documentary on LINK Tv about a teenaged aborigine boy who was was unjustly shot to death by White Austrialian police officers. They was doing a report about how aborgines are treated by White Austrialians. A lot of their population are far poorer than AA's, not because they want to be, they are very discriminated/abused by their government. They showed pictures of how the aborigines lived. If we think the whousing projects are bad in the states, we need to check out the shanty living conditions there. A lot of their homes look more like a war zone. I've seen some bad housing projects they they compare nothing to how they are living. Then it wasn' t that long ago that their government was going to compensate them. But man, what they go through in Australia in awful!
As AA's we're not given the royal retreatment, but I promise you this, we're being treated by the White people here than in Austrailia. Don't let that country fool you into thinking that they have open minds.

black ppl need 2 stop sticking up 4 da white people dem and GET REAL. sure you've probably got white friends, so have i but that doesn't mean i'm gonna take their side if one of my brothers or sisters has aproblem with them. at the end of the day it's true u don't know wot they could b sayin behind ur back jus like dey dont know wot ure saying about dem.
and about australia - in the '50/60s white british people went to australia to live it up while west indians came over to take their sh*tty jobs. AND the aborigines had their children taken away from dem and were forced to mix. if that's not racist, i don't know wot is.
