 don't understand ur point so u hate on the white side of ur race. u talk bout when white ppl chased ur moms&dads, HISTORY get the chip of ur shoulder, germans had it so did the irish but u don't hear bout it everyday of ur life. i tink it's sad u have 2 keep bringing it up. i think its sad dat al races can't get along. it's people like u(not just sayin black ppl white asian etc) dat r making it a hard world 2 live in. i just hope dat 1 day we can all get along. yeah i understand peaches point cause i myself get the feelin that some white girls do sometimes tink their bad but so does every other race, but U don't hav a point UR HALF WHITE so ur gonna b beatin on ur on race wake up girl use ur head cause u ain't making much sense right now.

sometimes you got to consider everything .
It's obvious that someone mixed race(black and white) is half white, but a mixed race person growing up in an all white area for example is still having to fight the same fight as someone black.
When they are getting cuss about their hair / nose / colour / lips / body, the white people cussing them were not calling them 'halfcaste' this or 'halfcaste' that, they were calling them Nigg*rs / W*gs / Black whatever same way!!!!!
When your mum is white and even she is getting beat up because she is with a black man as a child you observe all this and you will know there is a difference between you and all the other white people around you. Some mixed race people up North for example may have experienced more racism in their life than someone black in London!! So i don't think you're right to tell her she can't make a point.

Firstly it seems as though some of u did not read (properly)what i typed. Im talking about APPROPRIATION being taken too far. I did not say no white person can do black music ever. I too agree that eminem's lyrical style is impressive-but when u get basic fools such as Justin it makes me wonder. The same thing happened waaay back with Vanilla Ice, Snow, UB40 etc.
I admit ragga back in the early '90s had a good time within the mainstream but then this died down-and no Shabba Ranks was not light. But times have moved on and i think for the worst. Not so long ago a newspaper (i think it was The Times or Guardian, cant remember) classed Sean Paul as a ''white jamaican'' which he is not. I think that sums up some of the reason why he is so popular-he is more acceptable to be pushed into the mainstream-he is more closer to the mainstream ideal. Im not saying he isnt a good artist (and i know he has been around 4 ages), what i am saying is there r better ppl out there i.e. elephant of a darker hue and with more originality (sean paul sounds EXACTLY like supercat) and creativity (his crazy videos, the diff beats that he uses to go with his songs e.g the rocky tune) and i feel that they are being ignored simply because they do not match up and can no way pass for the ''ideal'' that the mainstream wants to keep pushing. (and becoming mainstream and being pushed 4ward as the greatest r 2 diff things). Why do u think Beyonce out of all the des child members was depicted as the forefront-she is a classic example of being conformed to the mainstream ideal. Yes Kelly had her piece but then again u can only do ''so much'' with her-and her popularity and chances on TV quickly waned.
Iyallah u wouldnt class Christina as R&B, but the media does class her as this. I wouldnt class Justin or Britney but they r being classed. THis is what i mean when i say appropriating and taking over. They r trying to REDEFINY black music in a way that it shouldnt and RENAME ''urban''??. ...oh and it isnt just one white person-and even if it was, that ONE person is enough to continuously ignore the MAJORITY with far more talent-and become the face of something it never was.
As for Li u r not black, therefore ur comments r objective and ur not affected. To say we harp on about slavery *ahem* EXCUSE ME! It is a part of our history that everyone seems to want us to 4get. WELL IM SORRY it's not happening. I'm sure u wouldnt tell the queen and england to forget about WW1 and their poppies, or the jewish to 4get about/stop harping on about the holocaust. (and the effects are still as great as ever 2day just more clever: more psychological, more economical)
No i dont hear evisu moaning about black ppl wearing their clothes-but i hear versace. The comparison u picked really has no relevance in this thread. Clothes r made to be worn-that is their sole purpose. MUSIC and CULTURE is to be recogised and appreciated, not stolen, not borrowed and CERTAINLY not overtaken!
Yes it was long ago and YES it does directly affect me-seeing as u r not n e way associated with the black race u r not equipped to speak on such matters!

you did actually say...and i quote "but U don't hav a point UR HALF WHITE" and as you said "maybe she has been in the middle of racism i don't know." which is why it would be better to take time out to ask her what has happened to her as opposed to telling her why she can't say nothing against white people. It is her own experiences and if she is handling them in that way then she is entitled. You should have given her a chance as you said you give everyone.
If the white side of her family taunted her / distressed her family whilst growing up would you expect her to say she loves them and has no hard feelings?? These things can effects peoples whole lives and you should try and understand and not try to invalidate what she has said.

the thing is that us black will never become extinct ever! from when we have been throught and survived everything. even the continent that we come from is fill with areas that the white will never be able to stand physically or mentally but we can. thats what makes us stronger in all ways and people fear what they dont understand thats our advantage

i PREDICT THAT IN THE NEXT 20 YEARS THE PROBLEM SHALL BE BLACK WOMEN DATING WHITE MEN AND NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
THE MEDIA IS f**kING WITH THE BLACK MIND, AND THIS IS GOING TO AFFECT BLACK WOMEN MORE THAN BLACK MEN. I HAVE ALREADY SEEN IT HAPPENING. ITS TRUE WHITE WOMEN ARE NOW STARTING TO GIVE BLAVK MEN THE COLD SHOULDER IN ORDER TO PREVENT THEMSELVES FROM BEING SEEN AS EASY, AND I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THAT MORE AND MORE BLACK MEN ARE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE MORE OF AN EFFORT WITH BLACK WOMEN.
I SAY THIS BECAUSE IVE BEEN STUDYING IN MANCHESTER FOR THE PAST 3YRS WHEN I FIRST GOT HERE MOST BLACK MEN WOULD LOOK OVER YOUR HEAD TO CHECK A WHITE GIRL. YOU COULD NOT WALK DOWN THE STREET WITHOUT SEEING A BLACK MAN WITH A WHITE WOMEN.

I have to agree with you @ Jus Me
The only thing is I think you are underestimating the intelligence of our people...just as you cant believe everything you read, you cant believe everything you see on TV and hear on the radio!!
Black people are not stupid we can see the white mans attempt to program and indoctrinate black people living in the British and American dispora!! The key thing is to love and and respect yourself as a black person!!
We shouldnt need to look to the media to tell is what is beautiful, to tell us what is right or wrong...because at the end of the day the people who own the media are white middle class people with their own peoples interests at heart...and they will never portray black people in their true light!! Black people have acheived alot and come a long way...we now need to become key people in the media, government etc to change the way we are represented!!
You are right due to the awful press black men have received even the white women who adored them are shunning them!! Because the white man does not want their white women to date black men!! The fact that they are in control gives them power to corrupt, program and indoctrinate peoples minds...Why do you think soo many black women complain about black men? Why do you think soo many women have now taken on this 'Independant woman' attitude? Why do you think black women are portrayed as going after men with nices cars, money etc These are the things that the mediahas been filling are heads with and making us believe and its working...Black people are killing each other, fighting each other, dating other races etc
The media is ripping those who are easily influenced apart...and sadly its affecting a lot of black people!!

| Stylioshsiadta I don not think the media can have the power to convince those so-called white women who date black men. The people who do so do this on their own terms and am sure they would not care what the media says. And it is not the media that is telling black women to hate black men this is not true either it is the black women themselves based on their experiences with their men. Where the media comes in is when there is proof of evidence that something has happened but am afraid to sya it seems most of the things they say are true actually all you need is to have eyes , eras it is that simple without blaming the media. the media just exaggerates or colourfully illustrates what is already there.

| Jus me you are telling me that you think black women should feel guilty about dating white men why? Is not that opprressive that you will even think and begin to contemplate that. I am afraid maybe you are not into White men or they will never be into you but it seems it is too late for you to expect the black women who do this to listen to you. They will probably direct you to amental institution for even suggesting this that is the only solution I can see and suggest for you. People are free to go and f**k anybody without having to explain their life, motives etcetera. And actuall it seems there are more black men with white women than black women with with white men.

And another thing i forgot to say is why is it that the same things brothers love about us is the same things you hate / can't stand? It's ok when we are strong and running our families / household / careers / selves, but when this same strong person is trying to kick start your ass it's a problem????
Personally, I don't love the fact that so many sistaz are strong and "running" their families.
I think it's one of the major problems in the black community because it's getting to the point where our women are so strong that they no longer need us.
I don't admire strength, aggressiveness, courage, or endurance in a woman.
I know she HAS to do these things sometimes because no one else will do them for her...but still...it's not something I find attractive about our women.
To be honest...the only thing I find attractive about most MODERN black women is her body.
All this "know thyself" New Age spiritual awarness so many sistaz are partaking in and all this financial and emotional strengthening they're trying to develop is starting to take it's toll.
Women must be taught from childhood what MEN find attractive...not what they think men SHOULD find attractive.
We should be a modern woman when it is time to work / buy property /drive nice cars / have our own money / look good / go halves on the bills, but we should be old fashioned when time to cook and bring your food on a tray / clean the house / raise the kids / as no questions ??
I don't. 
Infact I don't even date women that make more money than me.
You're right, some bruthaz want it all and LOVE an independant woman that can hold her own plus play housewife but I don't ask for that much.
That's what people mean by "partner".
When I choose women I'm not looking for a "partner"...hell a man can be a "partner". I look for women who know how to be women.
I know one thing that does not work in black womens favour is we are too mothering sometimes, sometimes it can be appreciated and sometimes it is just damn annoying!!
You're right, a black woman can be VERY mothering...the only problem I'm starting to see overhere in America is how they're being "motherly" to the wrong muthaf....z!
The good, desent, black men who go to work everyday and stay out of trouble are usually passed up by the fine big-butt sistaz for some dog-faced bum who just got out of jail.
Most sistaz like to critize the good bruthaz or call them uncle-toms letting the thugs and bums come over to live off them while they cook and clean and bail them out of jail.
Too many sistaz have a internal drive to gravitate toward the negative.

Most well educated black men I know have a very mild personality.
They have to be mild-mannered in order to put up with the macho-racist attitudes of white universities and corporations.

Most mild mannered men seek out women who are even milder...if they have any sense of pride. Some bruthaz are just p*ssy-whipped and attach himself on to the first woman that snatches him by the arm. But most smart men KNOW that they won't enjoy a relationship with a woman more aggressive than them so they seek out women who fit that docile profile.
Seeing as how so many sistaz have adapted an aggressive "strong black woman" posture now a days and look at being ruled and dominated by her man as being "wimpy"...a lot of bruthaz have little choice but to move on to the more docile and submissive white woman.
But I'm not well educated so it doesn't matter to me.
I don't know what these English people are tripping about because from what I see both black men AND black women are well educated and brought up in pretty desent house-holds...their situation is nothing like ours.

From my understanding Sean Paul is chinese and portuguese-that does not make him white, in actual fact some ppl would argue that makes him more black than white though i disagree with that. N e way he was born in Jamaica and i dont have a problem with him doing ragga, i just feel that he is getting attention because of his complexion more than what he is actually doing. Eminem i also dont think he is a crap artist. BUT i do think it is different.
Jamaica is a black country and it is a centered around one particular culture and race of ppl-yes there r other races but one race and one lifestyle/culture is the dominant therefore it is no surprise SP chose that style of music to be a part of. As for Eminem he was brought up in america, surrounded by lots of diff ppl/lifestyles/cultures. He could have picked up on n e. What i do think is strange is that he is surrounded by black ppl now, but when u look at videos of his friends waaay back when, none are black-they r all white. Strange.
But um my point (kind of going off) is USA is not solely a black country nor based around black culture and he is more likely to be exposed to his own culture (as well as others). Therefore it is possible to understand why ppl argue against him.
