LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vivid Entertainment says its hot new celebrity sex video that “stars� Kim Kardashian and best-selling R&B artist Ray J will be available for instant burning onto a personal DVD starting today. It marks the first ever “day and date� celebrity sex tape release in downloadable format.
Vivid has signed an exclusive deal with alladultchannel.com to provide full “Download to DVD� access to “Kim Kardashian Superstar,� today, March 21st – the same day the movie goes on sale in retail stores nationwide, despite a law suit against Vivid by Ms. Kardashian. It can also be purchased by mail order at shopvivid.com and it will be available for streaming at kimksuperstar.com, where the curious can see the latest trailer before they order the movie.
“The “Download to DVD� program, available at alladultchannel.com/kimk, offers a full retail DVD experience in an instant download from anywhere in the world,� according to Steven Hirsch, co-chairman of Vivid. The download will be available starting today.
The cost of the downloaded version is $39.95, the same as the retail DVD and consumers can print out a label identical to that used in the retail packaging. In addition, users get a free three-day trial to other features on alladultchannel.com with purchase of the download.
Vivid paid an unidentified third party $1-million for the now-famous video, which was made three years ago when Ms. Kardashian was dating Ray J. It features well-produced scenes of explicit sex with the two young and glamorous high profile celebrities. The sexy Ms. Kardashian, who counts Paris Hilton as her best friend, is the daughter of O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Kardashian. Her mother is married to Olympic Gold Medalist Bruce Jenner.
