i dont get why you are so offended by that, not all somalis have thin lips and straight noses, i never said that, so is that the mental image you have in your head.
what is the problem with them being a mixed race. 
As i said there are a few exceptions of those who dont have a certain look, but the majority of them do. These people are not a pure race. most of them are not 100 percent negroid. they are a mix of different combinations, in different percentages of negroid, caucasoid, and mongoloid.
i dont see why people are getting so offended.
many of them dont wanna be seen as 100 percent african black, anyway. which is right because they are not.

i kind of understand what you are saying.. i am somali and i dnt get offended when people like yourself say we somalis are not pure black and that we mixed....... yes it is a true fact that we do look different to west africans.... as we dont have the same features.. but let me tell you a another FACT! only 15% of somalis are mixed.. with arab and west african...
but what im talking about is the undeniable fact that there are different "racial groups" on the continent of africa, who all have "dark skin", but clearly different physical features.
but for someone to claim that one racial group on the continent of africa, "doesn't have african features", just because they don't look a certain way, is foolish to me.
all of the racial groups on the continent of africa, are africans (with the exception of some of the arabs that dwell there).
now group has the advantage of being a "true african", because they are ALL africans.
these groups look different ways.

They carry a gene called E3b which funny enough is the older brother of E3a which is the gene that most Bantu or other west Africans carry.
By the way Bantu people only arrived in East Africa during the past 3,000yrs in what is called the Bantu expansion. It is thought that an people originating from East Africa migrated to the West of Africa and gave rise to the many Niger congo, Bantu languages and unique gene many years after East Africans already existed.
Hence East Africa was fully populated by Cushetic people like Somalis are even older and more pure from admixture than the other Africans.
The fact is that Arabs, and many Europeans are descended from them rather than the other way round!

regardless of where in africa humanity first started (ethiopia as you stated) it never started with ur people, when i say your people i mean the average somalian/ethiopian or whatever of today. ur people come from race mixing.

We Africans are all beautiful people.. We ARE all different..! Just because some of us might look a certain way it doesn’t mean that we better then each other... EAST WEST.. WE still beautiful
Every black person on this planet, on every continent, knows who is black/African or mixed with black/African and who is not of recent black/African descent, blacks/Africans need to stop defending "blackness" to whites who have no clue about black people and thier various appearences. It is a waste of time. As long as you know black racial diversity exists and who is black, that is all that matters.
The attempt to stereotype black people into one similiar looking, non-diverse group, is a racist agenda and imperialist divide and conquer technique, this should be ignored. People say all Chinese look alike also, my friend went to China and she said that she was very surprised by the diversity she saw in people's appearences.
