Whilst BNV is dependant on advertising, BNV is only one component of BLACKNET...
but to give Le moor his basic analysis, naturally if less people come, the less viable BNV correct again... however if BNV stopped running tomorrow BLACKNET would carry on with its other components that btw i have absolutely nothing to do with period!!!
So how that then translate to the customer always being right is less clear.. and how that then translates to the Moderators who are UNPAID, and have no financial stake in BNV is even more unclear...
The gap in Le moor's thinking is simply this he would be right if the aim of the Moderating team were to generate, and attract income onto BNV... If our presense here was meant or intended to serve only THAT purpose... However given that he is not fully aware of the history of BNV.., why the modrating tea came into exsistence and given that he is not fully aware of the basis on which we run the team..I'm personally struggling to understand how he made 2+2=5...
As for the 'schooling me' comment Lmao..here's my point I can only be 'schooled' if i allow myself to be schooled....if I decide enough is enough then doesn't that lesson endth immediately...bottom line is that we are unpaid...I'm unpaid..I'm not directed to keep people happy..or to pander to opinions that I do not agree with... I'm not directed invite or keep people here by 'moderating debates' and nor would i..
Here is the essential problem here Le moor has taken the title 'moderator' too literally, compared the model of moderating as execised on other Websites and ASSumed that is how we should work... Here my point again we don't work on that model of practice.. We are not here to MODERATE 'balanced' debate, in fact i'd argue no other website does that ANYWAY...we are here to editorialise and to gatekeep thats it.....and in some instances ensure a certain level of civility and standards (see guidelines) that by the way was influenced by the populace of BNV..
Now to be VERY clear..people have a clear choices on which website to post on...I am openly advocating anyone who is unhappy with BNV to execise that clear choice to move around to other websites..There is ligali which has a very good users base..and I'm sure if people Google they can find other Black American or British sites to go onto..Someone has already mentioned Destee..another good site...
My advice if you're unhappy here please go and make use of these other 'free' sites, but understand this point BNV is not run on democratic means..I've been upfront about that from the start...and I don't pretend that it does... We're not going to pander to the idea that the customer is always 'right' regardless of Le moor's back to front mantra...
BNV is is fast paced and can be a bit rough that is its history and that is what makes BNV what it is..either accept that or not..
Now given that this topic is being deliberately taken of course to forfil the a certain agenda of a hurt ego..I am now posting my intent to now close it..however I will leave it open just long enough for Mr Le moor to have the absolute last word BEFORE I rthen close and remove it..

Kunjufu should go right ahead and do as hes always done, run when someone puts him to the test. Wouldnt be the first time ive seen him run out the dance. Sums him up really.
And for his information im perfectly aware how BN is a subsite and how its revenue interacts with the ENTIRE business model. Thats where his assumptions of my understanding on this topic runs short.
The point is Kunjufu's last post and arguement bears absoloutely no relevance to my earlier points whatsoever and even further leads me to know he hasnt a clue what hes talking about when it comes to these matters.
His argement is trying to tell me that because a publishers company wouldnt crumble because of the loss of one of its publications/sites that it doesnt see it as overall important in the grand scheme of things.
Yeah right tell that to the shareholders when the marketmakers sell the sh*t out of your Market Capitalisation when they realise one of your main reveune streams is fading. (Im asuming a compnay was floated as an example which i know BN isnt).
He saids that he is not here to generate renvenue. LMAO at his naivety. Like the owners dont have Moderators here to ENFORCE their agenda which in turn does what i ask.........YES GENERATE THEM REVENUE they way they want it generated. Else why would Mods be here. This basic lack of understanding and making 2+2=1010 much less 5 is laughable.
If he can't understand what ive said to him earlier about the role of a Moderater and how that reflects on the scene and the environment here, should i really give a toss.
I dont get paid for this sh*t...... now that makes sense to me.
