Sexy “Catwoman� star Halle Berry finally went public with her new model boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. The two came together this Tuesday at a Versace party in New York organized to celebrate the revamping of the Medusa label’s Fifth Avenue flagship boutique.
The beautiful actress has been lately rumored of dating Gabriel, but she refused to confirm her relationship with the model so far. The twice-divorced stunning star has been quietly dating the Versace model after they met in December while starring in Versace advertisements.
The 39-year-old Berry and the 30-year-old Aubry, were inseparable at the re-opening of Donatella Versace's Fifth Avenue boutique in New York City, which was also attended by Jennifer Lopez, Kate Hudson, Nicolas Cage, Benicio Del Toro, Cindy Crawford, Sting and Claire Danes.
Post-dinner, the guests, who each received a Medusa image glass plate gift, split in three directions: Donatella’s after party in Bungalow 8, Alex von Furstenberg’s “surprise� birthday party at Double Seven or Justin and Natalie Portman’s fete in their Tribeca apartment. Still, Halle and Gabriel are not reported to have attended one of those places.
Since her 2003 split with second husband, soul singer, Eric Benet, Berry has also dated her “Their Eyes Were Watching God� co-star Michael Ealy, but nothing serious has come to a happy end so far.
I guess i must be the last one to hear about this, apparently this has been going on for a while......

I just hope this one works out, because I for one, can not take another appearance from Haile on Oprah's show singing the blues about another failed relationship/her issues with self esteem, ad nauseam. I like Haile, but I have to honestly say that I always secretly felt that she would be more compatible with a white man. She reps being Black, no qualms with her on that score, but she was raised by her white mother, and from what I can decipher, her mother wasn't even one of those "tough, Black influenced white women that have children with Black men like Alicia Keys mother; and it shows, imo. Haile has that "mealy-mouthed" old school white woman vibe to her when it comes to relationships(that most straight up white women don't even have anymore,lol), and it's causing her problems when dealing with Black men,imo. Let me pre-emptively say, to save me the drivel about there being no differences between Black men and white men to whomever was planning to come with that ....

Thankyou Liberiangirl ! This is what abissini never seems to get when it comes to bi-racial people. If your bi-racial but are going to be more on your black side playing black characters, Icons and identifying yourself with black and being with black men and so on, then that's how it is. OK, to me, halle berry is bi-racial but in my eyes halle to me is a Black Woman because she's always said she's black and proud of who she is. Her mom even raised her to identify has a BLACK WOMAN because white america would only see her has that. Halle berry can be who she chooses but i'm very proud of halle for her efforts has a sister, and when halle won that award she was calling out her fellow sistrens names. I hope halle really finds peace in this guy cause she hasn't been in the best of relationships throughout the years, and has had the heat and stress ata worst with her emotions. Glad to see she's happy now though.

I agree. IMO, it would have been an entirely different matter if Halle Berry expressed racial neutrality and stated that she was mixed from the get go, like Tiger Woods. But she has clearly stated that she depite her mixed heritage she considers herself black. Well ok, fine. But being black isnt just a name, if you want to claim black, then there are certain rules you should abide by. But at the same time, considering all the faulty relationships shes had with black men, I cant fault her for trying something new. And her new man peice is pretty damn fine for a white boy, if I must say so myself.

Sorry but who cares what she thinks she is, and the world wants us to think she is? Not me………. Berry to me is half white, that's the simple undeniable fact, raised by her white parent, in a white upbringing, without very much input by her black father. Also the only reason why her white mother advised her to claim herself as black was because white society wouldn't accept her as one of their own and of course as a "black" woman she would have more market rather than having to compete with the likes of Julia Roberts, which as you can see has worked perfectly by making her the first “black� woman to win the Oscars wtf?
I am also confused how anyone would come out with statements such as "sleeping with her former slave master"........ Who’s this slave master? her white mothers family perhaps? I believe that judgement should have been reserved for the daddy not the half white child.

To me, Halle Berry is BLACK ! I'm not going to go there with all the 'they have one white parent bullish' To me that's stupidness. I've seen mixed folks go through worst racism than some normal blacks, and even get it from there own white side of there family. Mixed folks can be whoever they want, and if they want to identify with BLACK, then they can do so proudly and I will identify them with that.

If there is one thing Halle has never been is confused about herself. Her mother was disowned because of the mixed -raced children her White mother bored and she expericed ton of racism from White people, but she have never denied her Black heritage . If anything she's alway said that she is black. I never even hear her down Black people or to stray away from it( unlike people like Tiger Woods, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Beals( My god, NOW that is a woman who never embraced her heritage or associated with too many Black people). Most of the men she bonded with were mixed-race and African-American. If she's dating Gabriel, so be it. For all we know , he could be the man for her and much as she's been through she deserves some enlightment in her life.

Again this is not about whether she claims to be black or not.... it's not physically possible for a white woman to give birth to genetically black children, so you can embrace, you can shout it, wear it, throw it.... whatever, if one of your parents is white there is no way, no how you are going to be black. Black people stop claiming everything gzzzz!
I used to know this black guy who used to claim Asians were black because some of them were darker than African/Black people wtf?
BTW ADMIN LOVIN THE NEW BN. I am at work as always with BN minimized, i like the fact that the "logged in as....." is much smaller. The colour scheme also doesn't invite too many unwanted attention.

Everyone should know that race has always been a combination of ones genetic background and racial definitions set by a paticular culture. In the US concepts of race are slightly different as in south american, Europe, or Africa. In the US, Halle Berry may be genetically mixed but by rule can lay claim to the term 'black' due to our own unique historical definitions of race. If we are going to be purely genetic about who is mixed and who is not, then just a good majority of american blacks may as well call themselves mixed. Geneology tests have shown that some blacks even without a direct white parent still come out with a majority of European ancestry. So what defines mixed, exactly? Okay, so going by your reasoning every 0.00005% black person can also lay claim to the term "black" as well. Alright then in that case a blond haired, blue eyed person who just happens to have a great, great, great black grandmother can call himself "black" if he wants to. After all race is only a social construct right? And the American one drop rule is actually not racist and we should all just shut up and accept it. But honestly answer me this, if Halle Berry turned around and started calling herself white, would you be okay with that as well? Or would you all of the sudden start singing another tune and start talking about how she is ignoring the black side of her heritage.
