 I  am just about fed up with african american women talking smack about african men. Black women always complain about african men are this and that or the other. Just today i was listening to a talk show on the radio and apparently the discussion had something to do with african men because some women called in talking about an african man and how she apparently had to "teach" him a few things. I was so pissed off  i had to change the station. Black american women are always talking about how badly african men treat women, i wish they would shut up and worry about their own men,  how many of them are in jail, dont take care of their kids, or sleep with other men on the side!:X  IMHO, as f**ked up as black americans are, they have absolutely no business talking about any other group of people, they need to worry about problems within their community.

With respect Sister, there are many amongst our Race, who provoke negativity within and division.

But the title of this thread in itself, can be seen as provacation and for that reason it will be locked in 5 minutes.

If you wish to complain or wish to see it back on the site, PM me and/or any of the other Mods with your view.

^^^^^^ Breadfruit, you have to understand that African women, really do not like people putting African men down..( unless it's us)we take it personally....................I agree about the title being provocative, but I think liberiangirl actually feels slighted by it..................some black people are not used to having men of their race, systematically degraded right in front of their eyes on a nearly daily basis, maybe she is not "used to it".

Liberiangirl, not all AA woman are like that, dont let it get to you.

@DSP

Is it been British to watch out for threads that highlight negatively our differences, that later Mods are then brought to task over?

This is an All-African site and we should All be aware that are differences are used by many backward elements to highlight bias, favour and hypocrisy here at Blacknet and beyond; which posters when they are ready will highlight, without mercy.

Posters should be able to see that the title of this thread alone, is divisive.

Shouldn't need a mod for that.

Okay, maybe she could have been more creative with the title, which segways(sp?) into something I've been thinking for a while.  We should have about 10 to 15 minutes to edit a title or have the mods edit. Not just to do with controversial titles but also spelling mistakes.  Maybe it's just me but i've noticed that you cant' just edit titles here.

@ Breadfruit, then why can't the title be changed to something more politically correct and the discussion allowed to continue??

@Chi

I hear you Sister

But this is not about different races.  Differences of national cultures, can be highlighted, analysed and taken further - this thread started off on the wrong footing for a site that looks to bring us closer together and create a real village here.

If this thread was entitled  "African Women - they get on my nerves!" it wouldn't last more than 3 posts - this is not rocket science here.  People need to think about what this site represents and understand the guidelines before posting.

All

I'm with Breadfruit on this.

It's not just the title but the first post implied a male v female, African against African thread - something which is against the guidelines.
